Distance from the beaches: from Sunrise Beach - 15 minutes walk, to Sunset Beach - 25 minutes walk. There are shops within walking distance."

"The hotel is located practically in the center of the island. You have to walk to all the beaches, but it's not a long walk. The island itself is dusty, with construction going on everywhere. After a walk, you come back to the hotel with dust in your nose. The beaches are beautiful, like everywhere in the Maldives. Breakfast at the hotel consisted of scrambled eggs and toast, with papaya being the main fruit."

"Due to renovations taking place near the hotel, the owner suggested we stay at the nearby hotel, which belongs to his brother. The hotel is called Lagoon Villa. It's a wonderful hotel, with all the amenities in the room, always clean linens and towels. Beach towels are also provided. Breakfast is rather meager and monotonous, with no choice. Everything else is excellent!"

"A home hotel is not for sitting in the room. But we were unlucky with the weather and had to hang around inside. The TV does not work, mosquitoes, it is always better to hang the window to the inner courtyard. But it is very convenient to walk to both beaches, it is clean and tidy inside. The guy who works there tries very hard. Only with food it is better to agree on the time and amount, otherwise you will have to overpay the restaurants. Fins, mask for free, bike 5 dollars per day. In general, the option is very good for its price."

"A very nice, new hotel with a small pool, Maldivian-style rooms, stylish renovations, new showers and fixtures, cozy grounds, and helpful staff who will pick you up, drop you off, and bring you back. Thoddoo Island is small, but everything is close by, including cafes and shops. We went for dinner to Seli-Poeli, 5 minutes from the hotel. The hotel breakfasts are European-style: sandwiches, eggs, toast, beans, steamed vegetables, sausages, tea, coffee, local roti flatbread, tuna with coconut, yogurt, pineapple, and watermelon. Nothing fancy, but you won't go hungry."

"We stumbled upon Ambra Maldives while staying elsewhere on the island. It looked new, immaculate and appealing, unlike many other establishments on Thoddoo. We ended up having lunch at Ambra every day, thanks to its proximity to Bikini Beach. The friendly general manager showed us one of the 6 new villas, which can sleep up to 5 people. Ambra has only been open since April 2025 and is operated by a team who have experience in some of the well known Maldivian resort brands such as The Four Seasons, which generally adhere to a much higher standard of tidiness and cleanliness than what we saw elsewhere on Thoddoo. Ambra is part-owned by Italian investors, and this is reflected in the menu, which features a number of Italian specialties that would have been good for dinner, such as Chicken Cacciatore and Lasagne. For lunch, we stuck with the delicious tuna burger, falafel flatbread and Caesar salad, along with blueberry smoothies and bitter lemon. (Authentic Italian pizzas would a nice addition to the menu.) It was a relief to have chilled water provided free of charge; our guesthouse only provided water at ambient temperature (i.e. 28C+), which wasn’t appealing, and no other beverage options besides tea and coffee. If we were to visit Thoddoo again, we’d definitely look to stay at Ambra Maldives, which is close to but outside the town centre and closer to the beach than any other places we saw. Well done, team Ambra, and keep up the high standards!"

"Comfortable and welcoming hotel, the best memories are left! We are on holiday from 28.06-07.07, we were lucky with the weather +29. 10-12 minutes to the beach on foot, you can ride a bike. Breakfasts are fresh and tasty, lunches/dinners for an extra fee at will. The rooms are new and cozy. The pool is clean and warm, swimming is a pleasure! We definitely recommend and will come again! "We had a wonderful stay at Athiriveli Maldives. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the jetty. The service was truly impressive, from the owner to the buggy driver, and even the bellboy who also doubles as the chef and cleaner. Everyone was warm, helpful, and attentive. Mr. Ali brought us for a farm visit, where we enjoyed fresh fruits by the beach..such a unique experience! He even gifted us a wahoo fish, which was absolutely delicious. For the comfort, hospitality, and experiences provided, the price is definitely affordable and worth it. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the island!"

The first three days there was a buffet breakfast, then portioned and with waiting. The room was cleaned every day, all the staff are nice, except for the manager.
