Admiral Grand Hotel

"У мене м'язове захворювання, яке впливає на мою загальну рухливість, і моє тіло відчуває сильний біль, і мені досить важко, особливо якщо я був дуже активним попереднього дня. Ми вирушили з Дубровника до готелю Admiral Grand Hotel з порту після тижневого круїзу. Перше враження було таким: там було чисто, а персонал, з яким ми спочатку спілкувалися, був добре представлений та доброзичливий. Ми подорожували з TUI, і їхня представниця Крістіна була дуже приємною, обізнаною та корисною, вона дуже швидко та задовільно вирішила проблему, з якою ми зіткнулися. Наш номер був хорошого розміру з дуже великим балконом, з видом на гори, і там було тихо. Басейни були чистими, а шезлонги завжди були доступні, бар біля басейну працював, а персонал був дуже приємним і завжди усміхався. Пляжні рушники були доступні щодня. У зоні басейну є пандуси та сходи, які допомогли мені легко пересуватися. Пляж був непоганий для старших дітей та дорослих, я б не рекомендував його для молодших дітей через те, що пляж кам'янистий/гравійний, а також різкий спуск у глибшу воду. На сніданок і ввечері завжди був хороший вибір їжі, хоча страви на сніданок виглядали для мене трохи занадто жирними. Персонал ресторану був дуже ввічливим, корисним і привітним. Персонал бару був привітним, щасливим і доброзичливим, окрема подяка Данієлі та Івані, які обидві змушували нас посміхатися та сміятися, коли були на службі. Данієла завжди знаходила час, щоб принести наші напої туди, де ми сиділи. Ми замовили масаж, і враження були чудовими та залишили нас розслабленими. Команда прибиральників завжди була привітною, і, незважаючи на важку роботу, яку їм доводилося виконувати, завжди посміхалася. Однак розваг було небагато, та й сам курорт був дуже тихим, що нас влаштовувало. Ми поїхали місцевим автобусом до Дубровника, який коштував менше 4 євро в один бік з особи, але автобус не їде прямо до старого міста, потрібно виходити на вершині пагорба і спускатися кількома прольотами кам'яних сходів, а потім спускатися до воріт Піле. Ми взяли тук-тук, який підвіз нас на вершину гори/пагорба, куди ходить канатна дорога, і повернув нас до воріт Піле. Поруч із канатною дорогою є музей, присвячений Вітчизняній війні. Краєвиди неймовірні. Наступного дня ми поїхали до старого міста Корчула, яке було схоже на зменшену версію Дубровника, і мені там набагато більше сподобалося, там не було так людно, але в обох місцях було багато звичайних сувенірних крамниць, а ціни були вищі, ніж в інших місцях. Більшість місцевих жителів були дуже привітними, а багато туристів – ні. Загалом, у нас було дуже приємне перебування в Слано."

Hotel Osmine

"I spent 11 nights at this hotel having travelled with Jet2 Holiday. I have travelled extensively from Costa Rica and St Lucia in the west to India in the east and many of the hotels I have stayed in were all inclusive. When I first arrived at this hotel the first thing I did when I arrived in my room was open the door to the balcony. I couldn't believe the view. It was unbelievable and I thought at first it was a picture. One of the best views from a hotel I have ever had. Unfortunately it didn't stay like that as the second thing I noticed was a quite big yellow stain on the carpet. I am not sure if this was an iron burn or something more sinister but I chose not to stand on it. Other than that the room was fairly ordinary and kind if lacked any features. It was however kept very clean by the daily cleaners. The hotel in general lacked a bit of personality with most ot being paited white. Another thing that I found bizarre was what was classed as that lounge bar which was basically a large wide corridor which lead to the dining room. As a result it lacked atmosphere. The pool bar was small with white plastic tables and chairs most of which were damaged and in fairly poor condition. The area roundabout the pool also had a large selection of white plastic loungers so there was never a problem getting one although after lying on them for a short period they became uncomfortable. To be fair the hotel shop sold covers for them at €26 a pop. Next the food. I thought it was fair good and well cooked even if it nit the best I have ever had. Next the drinks and this was one of my biggest bug bears. I drink Bacardi/ white rum and nowadays virtually nothing else. My problem was that this place did not have any. Neither bacardi or cheaper white rum. I did try their dark rum but it tasted like someone had brewed it in a shed so I gave that a miss. As a result I was in bed most nights by 9.30. At the start of this I said that I have travelled extensively and never before have I come across a hotel that didn't stock white rum even the cheap stuff. Surely, on holiday, I should get to drink what I want to drink and not what a hotel dictates. Overall I think hotel is just a little bit scruffy but with a bit of investment could be upgraded instead of being down graded by Jet2. I would also suggest a mini bus or similar to get people into Slano as I was told it was a 20 minute walk but in the heat it took me more like 40 or 45 minutes Even if the hotel made a small charge for it it it cost me €10 for a taxi the first time then €15 the second time. Someone got their sums wrong !"
