"My appreciation for the Mandarin Oriental brand led me to visit the Macau property 🇲🇴 after my stay at the Hong Kong one, eager to experience its unique charm once again! Each Mandarin Oriental hotel in every city has its own distinct culture and character. The facilities at the Macau MO are generally a bit older and relatively simple, and the rooms are smaller than those in Hong Kong. However, they are well-maintained. This time, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a higher floor, and the soundproofing was excellent. Many thanks to the reservations department for their efficient replies and thoughtful service, which made this trip possible (it was almost canceled due to a thunderstorm ⛈️ warning). The front office staff provided warm and detailed service; a special thank you to Forrest for the care! The in-room service was particularly impressive. Every staff member was well-trained in etiquette and manners, and they responded promptly. The turndown service was especially warm and welcoming! For travelers who aren't keen on gambling, the Macau MO is an excellent choice. I would definitely choose it again and recommend it to others!"

"I stayed here back in 2023 during the pandemic and had a good experience, so I decided to come back. I never expected to get bitten this time. When I checked in that night, I noticed a stale smell, but I didn't think much of it. About fifteen minutes after getting into bed, my thigh started itching, and a white bump appeared. I thought it was just an allergy and ignored it. Around 6 AM, I woke up to an incredibly itchy bump on my arm, which was also white initially. When I checked out, I mentioned it to the front desk. They suggested I might be allergic to the bedding and offered a free room upgrade for my next visit. However, that very night, itchy bumps appeared on both of my thighs, and I ended up with about five or six similar bumps on my body. Even after applying 999 Piyanping (a common cream for skin issues), they didn't go away. I asked ChatGPT, and it said it was most likely fleas. I've stayed in many hotels, but I've never encountered anything like this. The hotel's service is good, but I can't overlook this hygiene issue. Fleas are incredibly difficult to get rid of, and I'm very upset."

"This hotel is a beautifully renovated establishment with a century of history. While the rooms are on the smaller side, their strong design sense shows the owner's great attention to detail. The location is excellent, being very close to the Ruins of St. Paul's and Monte Fort, making it incredibly convenient for souvenir shopping. The free minibar offered Portuguese red wine, beverages, and snacks, and each guest also received a complimentary drink at the hotel's terrace. The staff's service was professional and thoughtful. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay."

"Overall, this is a solid three-star hotel. The facilities and service met expectations. Its location in the old town means the surrounding buildings look a bit run-down, which might be a bit jarring visually. There are two bus stops just a short walk away, which was really convenient since ride-hailing in Macau is difficult to get – we used the bus for all our outings over three days. There are also plenty of breakfast spots nearby selling Cantonese congee, rice rolls, turnip cake, and fried dough sticks, so you won't go hungry. However, I do have a few suggestions: 1. The lobby always had a mixed smell of new paint (TVOC) and cooking fumes. I hope they can investigate the cause. 2. There didn't seem to be any tissues in the room. 3. Our triple room was unexpectedly upgraded to a quad room with an extra bed after I booked, which was great. However, the extra bed was placed under the TV, so we moved the two beds ourselves to combine them. Finally, a big shout-out to the washer and dryer combo – it was incredibly useful!"

"I've stayed here before and it was okay, but this time it was absolutely terrible. I requested a high floor, and they gave me a top-floor room when I checked in. I was happy at first, but I found out why in the middle of the night. Besides the AC noise, there was a distinct, low-frequency humming sound, like living inside an airplane! This low-frequency noise wasn't present when I stayed on other floors before. I suspect it comes from the vibrations of large equipment on the roof. I'm sure the front desk knows about this, yet they still assigned this significantly flawed room to a Ctrip user. Furthermore, there was a persistent, cheap perfume smell in the room. Even with the door open for a long time, it wouldn't dissipate. I guess a previous guest spilled their cosmetics on the carpet, and it couldn't be thoroughly cleaned. It was really nauseating. They used to provide bottled water, but now they've even cut that. I wouldn't dare drink the tap water, so I had to go to a nearby supermarket to buy water. It was such a hassle."
