"If you're visiting in the summer, be sure to prepare for the heat. The hotel is clean and hygienic, and the rooms are nice, but there's no air conditioning. The hotel staff are friendly and provide a lot of useful travel information, but the rooms don't have air conditioning. I booked an apartment suite, which was fully equipped and very convenient, except for the lack of air conditioning. The surrounding area has complete amenities and is very convenient for getting around, but the rooms didn't have air conditioning on a hot day. In short, be aware that if you're visiting in the summer, this hotel is great in every way except for the lack of air conditioning."

"I was supposed to attend a festival in Angers the weekend of February 21st. Unfortunately, two days prior, the Maine-et-Loire department (49) was placed on red alert, and a prefectural decree canceled all events and restricted travel. I had, of course, a reservation without insurance. The hotel was understanding and supportive, offering me a solution that I readily accepted. Beyond the offer itself, I greatly appreciated the human touch I found here. The management called me, and a solution was found within 10 minutes. This demonstrates genuine respect and a strong sense of customer service."

"awful hotel. 4 stars??? not a chance. tired interiors - a delicate aroma of stale carpets and dirt. do not stay here. i stood at the front desk for 10minutes to ask receptionist about my room before she decided to end her personal call and ask what i wanted. Sums this place up."

"We stayed for 5 nights thinking there would be plenty to do with the pool, lake and city to explore. The pool was decent however the lake is not good for swimming, very swampy and very restricted. The city is also not the greatest place to visit. The campsite is ok however our pitch had cigarette butts all over it. Food is very limited and the bar expensive. Shower blocks are good and clean. Staff ok but could be a lot friendlier. I think a decent place for a stop over but wouldn't recommend a longer stay."

"This was a one night stopover on a cycle trip through France. Considering Angers is on the Loire where there are so many cyclists this hotel seemed to be completely unprepared for cyclists- storage was on a landing down about 6 steps which was hard work with the ebike. Charging ( as the battery does not come out) was only allowed for two hours- I had to argue for that- in the reception area; and I don't think that they were particularly happy with that. Room like a normal Ibis and breakfast included in the rate was fine. I think in retrospect we would have been better off staying in the small 3* hotel round the corner which said "accueil velos ". "

"We did a stop-over in our road trip in Angers and stayed at Les Chambres de Mathilde. Everything was great: bed, shower, Wi-Fi and the lovely breakfast. The host is always available and we really recommend it to stay a bit longer as this city has a lot to see: cathedral, castle and city walks."
