"Great lodge, staff was courteous, plenty of things available to do."

"Location was great, walking distance to downtown Whitefish. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating."

"Clean property Well maintained and location, wonderful restaurant on the property, decent breakfast and pretty furnishings. Hospitable and Helpful staff and service. Hot tub is great after long day. Strongly recommend it."

"The overall feeling of the hotel is very good, the room is clean, the space is OK, but it is a pity that the hotel's swimming pool is closed during the stay, but the hotel has a swimming pool for us to use, but our trip because there are two younger children, So it’s not too easy to go swimming in another hotel, this part is a pity, other than that, other places are quite satisfactory."

"Fabulous and strange little place off the highway next to residential area. Overlooks the river with small balconies. Largely self serve with access code. Wonderful common area and literally home-made breakfast. Wonderful hosts during breakfast. Clean, roomy, and quiet. I would recommend this place too everyone."

"Big room and easy parking. Would recommend for exploring glacier!"

"The room was comfortable, but the room I was initially assigned was above the machine room and was very noisy. I was given a quiet room on the second night. The breakfast was very good, and there was 24-hour coffee and hot water."

"Second year in a row here, and it did not disappoint. Such a central location in Whitefish with so many things to do close by. They have everything covered. They are so nice and accommodating. They truly feel like family once you leave. We will definitely be coming back!"

"My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Montana for our 20th wedding anniversary last month and I was excited to discover The Larch House. Even though we would not typically spend $800/night on a hotel- we do have three kids we gotta put through college!- we decided to splurge since it was a special occasion. The room was well decorated and the rooftop hot tub was nice- but that's about it. The service was far below what I've experienced at other luxury hotels. At Larch House you have to make a special request for daily housekeeping, and even then they did not take out the garbage or replace the glassware the entire time we were there! We used the same dirty glasses over and over. But I think the thing that really put it over the top for me was the fact that our room opened out onto a parking lot and alley, requiring us to walk past a row of dumpsters reeking of garbage in order to access our room. On our last morning there, I was driven out of bed at 8am by a roaring sanitation truck pumping sewage right outside our door. Like, what?!?! For $800 a night?? We felt like a total chumps. I've been fortunate to stay in some pretty fabulous places over the years, and sadly this was definitely not one of them."
