"Unfortunately, there are cockroaches running around the hotel, and we had the unpleasant experience of finding three of them in our room. While the views are beautiful, the hotel is unfortunately not clean. I spoke with a guest from another room, and she also saw a cockroach, and unfortunately, it was on the restaurant level. The location might be beautiful, but that is about it. The Hotel Manager was very arrogant; when asked to change our room after seeing a cockroach, she told us we could upgrade to another room (which, by the way, was on a lower floor) for an extra €150 than we can be sure there is no cockpraches. Very rud person. Overall, a very poor experience."

"My husband and I have just spent 5 days at this fantastic hotel. It was a treat for my 40th birthday. Everything was absolutely glorious (apart from the iffy weather). I was given a lovely cake and bottle of champagne in the room. We had a lake view balcony room and the views are stunning. All the staff are so lovely. We also had the pleasure of meeting the general manager who was a very pleasant gentleman. We had dinner at Focus which was out of this world. The Grill restaurant was also delicious for dinner and breakfast. We had a very relaxing couples massage. I swam in the lake a couple of times. It was so cold but so refreshing. We don’t have many opportunities at home to do this so I had to make the most of it while I was there. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Just book it! Thanks Park Hotel Vitznau. Amy & Craig 🥰"

"Vitznau is a beautiful small town. We traveled from Zurich taking trains and busses, the hotel is a short walk from the bus stop. The hotel is very aesthetic and has been recently renovated. The staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations. It rained while we were there but the hotel can keep you entertained with the views, restaurants, spa, and pool. We ate at Sens which was outside (covered) by the lake, and we highly recommend eating at Inspiration. It was a wonderful experience. We also did a day in Lucerne, about an hour with bus and trains and the hotel helped us with directions."

"I wanted this to be a 5 star experience. We arrived after multiple confirmations after a long flight, with a promise of an earlier check in…with no accommodation. In fact, after 8 hours of waiting, we were given a late check in. Dinner there was terrible. After 3 hours of waiting for our food, we sent our kids to bed and my husband received his meal. I declined mine at that point. They did comp our dinner with no explanation. Lastly, my daughter had an ear infection that required medical assistance. At any other five star (over $4500 a night we paid) property in the world, this would have been easily coordinated…instead, the front desk was visibly annoyed to have to accommodate a trip to the clinic. It was so sad as we were Virtuoso guests, and the property is stunning. However, it was a below average experience anytime we had to interact with the staff."
