Coffee machine in the room with compliment coffee pods and teas. Pump soap and bar soap Shampoo, cream rinse, lotion, shower cap and makeup remover pads. Plenty of towels."

Fairmont Royal York Hotel
"The only thing good about this stat is the location. Very close to Union rail station and also very close to central Toronto. Now for the bad. The quality of room was dreadful. There is lack of wardrobe space, no fridge to store our personal goods the bathroom is small and the toilet is in a really tight space. The bath is not secure as the bottom flexes when you stand on it. The room itself is tired and could do with renovation. I would have liked to have been nearer to the area of the hotel that had lifts working too. A very long walk from the East Wing to the main core lifts was a chore. Would have been good to have been told about this before we were given our room. Check in time was too long. They needed more staff to be at check in. The queue was very long. When I aired my issues to the hotel, the customer service was not being particularly helpful in making our stay more enjoyable. They wanted to do as little as possible. The best they could offer me was a credit of 100 CAD to spend in their hotel. Scant consolation in my view Access to the hotelitself is not step free. If you are a wheelchair user or poor mobility you will need help from the staff. If you have heavy luggage you will struggle also. However to be fair we had help from the staff to take our cases into the hotel. When you check out it's a different story. You have to fend for yourself Quite frankly this is a very poor hotel to stay in."

Location was great too - the hotel was close to eateries (especially Asian food, if that's important to you), and supermarkets. There's also a subway station nearby. So that's covered. The thing that stood out for me was the service level of the staff - friendly, patient, and helpful. It just made our stay more pleasant."

"The hotel was very short walk from the Union Station. Just a few blocks walk to both Eaton centre and St. Lawrence market. Beds were very comfortable and staff very accommodating. If you ever need directions just ask the bartender. He is amazing wealth of knowledge of area."

"The Shanghai auntie at the front desk was so kind and let us check in early. The service was incredibly attentive, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The restaurant service was fantastic, especially the bacon and potato hash. The hotel is located right in the heart of Toronto, making it easy to walk to all the popular attractions. Plus, there's a big supermarket on either side of the hotel."

"A Seaton Dream located on a well cared for street in Old Cabbagetown contributed to a very enjoyable four nights in Toronto. Our host, Jamie, proved to be very knowlegeable and helpful regarding the city and the neighbourhood. Jamie is a very talented cook , so each morning we were greeted with a tasty breakfast creation presented in a lovely dining room within the ambience of the creatively restored main floor living space. It was a highlight to have Jamie sit with us and contribute to the conversation. We stayed in the Retreat Room, a quiet, comfy, very functional super clean space within the home. "
