"I brought my parents to Tokyo, and we managed to snag a discount at the Imperial Hotel, booking two connecting rooms. It was a great experience to soak in the old-money vibe of this classic hotel. The hotel facilities aren't brand new, but the stay was incredibly comfortable. Each room had a great view, with a table and chairs by the window perfect for enjoying the scenery. Although it's right next to the railway tracks, the soundproofing was surprisingly excellent. With the subway stopping at night, our sleep was completely undisturbed. Compared to most hotels in Tokyo, the room size was very generous, so two people didn't feel cramped at all. The shower experience in the bathroom was particularly good, with a three-function rain shower head and ample water pressure, making showering a real treat. The hotel doesn't have self-service laundry, and the laundry service isn't cheap, but it's a reasonable price compared to hotels of a similar caliber. The hotel is quite large, with several restaurants and shops inside, art installations everywhere, and carpets throughout, creating a wonderfully atmospheric place to wander around. The large fresh flower arrangement and chandelier at the main entrance, which might not look as stunning in photos, were still breathtaking to see in person. The breakfast was very good. While the variety wasn't extensive, the quality was consistent and the taste was excellent. The service level was very high, with staff being both elegant and enthusiastic. The location is a major highlight: a side exit leads directly to a lively food street, and it's just a 3-minute walk to Ginza for shopping. The main entrance faces Hibiya Park, with no shops obstructing the view around, making it very convenient for taxis. Overall, it's highly recommended for family trips."

"My family and I chose to stay at this hotel because of its location and free shuttle to DisneySea. The hotel has a dated resort feel but generally well maintained and clean. The room is small but that was expected when I made the booking so I was prepared to accept the tight space. However, the two super single beds were pleasantly comfortable and big and the shower stall, although tight, has a good water pressure. Good shuttle service to DisneySea and Disneyland. Also enjoyed the free snacks and drinks provided by the hotel for its guests and the good range of personal care products and tea bags and coffee which guests can help themselves to."

Mitsui Garden Hotel Toyosu Premier / Tokyo
"The Limousine Bus from Haneda Airport takes just 30 minutes directly to the hotel's doorstep, costing ¥1000 per person. When I arrived, the bus stop was right downstairs, with routes to both Haneda and Narita airports, and a timetable available. I stayed for five nights, and they provided two bottles of water daily. The superior twin room had beds that were 1.1m wide, and the bedding and linens were excellent. My only minor complaint is that the beds might be a bit short for anyone over 185cm. The bathroom was adequately sized, and at 26 square meters, the room itself is quite spacious for Japan. Toyosu Park downstairs is fantastic, and Tokyo Bay is beautiful. Overall, I was very satisfied. On clear days, you can even see Mount Fuji, 130km away!"

"The facilities are definitely old, but the location is still good. I always stay at this hotel every time I come to Japan because I'm used to it, and Roppongi is a pretty nice area to stay in. It's also close to the subway station. However, this time I was very disappointed; the room they gave me smelled terrible. Even after turning on the ventilation and spraying deodorizer, it still stank. The most disgusting part was that the bed sheets were dirty. I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't brought disposable sheet covers. I couldn't stand it anymore and asked to change rooms. Their attitude was good, but the hygiene situation is really concerning. I won't be staying here again."

The interior is very clean, the fan is always on, providing excellent air circulation, and there are plenty of showers and toilets. In terms of hardware, this is the best hostel I've experienced in Japan. The location is also great, not far from the subway station, and within walking distance to Tokyo Tower, Shiba Park, and even the beach if you walk a bit further. The only slight drawback is that, although it's self-check-in and I didn't expect much help from the front desk, the staff member's expression was too cold when she saw someone. After making eye contact, she immediately turned her head away. I hope the hotel can at least provide some basic hospitality training for its staff. It's close to the railway, so there's an occasional rumbling sound, but earplugs are provided. Considering the price, it's almost a perfect hostel."

"Terrible hotel. The communal bathrooms were a complete mess, and the toilets weren't clean. The entire hotel smelled like a mix of cat litter. It's really far from the subway station; the walk to the Ginza Line felt endless. Plus, the directions weren't clear. The bed and stairs were too narrow; I couldn't even fit one foot. It wasn't cleaned properly, and there were even old receipts from someone else's stay last year. Even though it was cheaper on Saturday because they hadn't sold out, they still gave me a bad bunk. Although they lock the doors at night, it still felt very unsafe. The cabinet above the top bunk was oppressive and kept hitting me. In short, don't stay here."
