I had close encounters with brush turkeys, parrots, possums, and even tree kangaroos! The staff here are fantastic – super friendly and always ready to help. The Bower House itself is amazing: large, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. The fireplace was a cozy touch, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The views are simply breathtaking, and waking up to the sounds of the rainforest was an unforgettable experience. Just a heads up, the trails can get a bit muddy after the rain, but it's all part of the adventure! "We booked the entire Mt Quincan Crater Retreat for our wedding and stayed for four nights. From the minute we arrived, we knew we’d made the right choice. The warm welcome set the tone for our whole stay. Freshly baked scones with jam and cream, along with a homemade loaf of bread, were waiting for us when we arrived. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel instantly at home. Our cabin was beautiful. The fireplace, spa bath, robes and knitted slippers made it feel so cosy and relaxing. Everything was spotless, and you could tell how much care goes into looking after the retreat. The views are absolutely stunning. Looking out over the rolling green hills towards the Seven Sisters, with cows grazing in the paddocks below, is something we’ll never forget. Every morning we sat outside with a coffee, listened to the birds and enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was exactly what we needed. Breakfast each morning was another highlight. The fresh local produce provided was delicious, and we loved being able to cook it ourselves and enjoy it on the deck while taking in the view. Having the entire retreat exclusively for our wedding made the weekend even more special. We held our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception there, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Our family and friends could relax, enjoy themselves and really make the most of the beautiful surroundings. It created such a warm, intimate atmosphere that we’ll remember forever. The location is also great, with Atherton only a short drive away if you need to grab anything during your stay. If you’re visiting the area, we’d also recommend spending some time in Yungaburra. We had great meals and coffee at the Yungaburra Hotel, Our Place and Mr Belson’s Café. Mt Quincan isn’t just a place to stay—it’s somewhere that stays with you long after you leave. It was the perfect place to celebrate the biggest weekend of our lives, and we honestly can’t wait to come back."

"A wonderful place to stay, immersed in the rainforest. The lodge was clean, comfortable and equipped with enough equipment to self cater. The beds were really comfortable, no air con but ceiling fans were effective. The swimming pool was cool, but this was quite refreshing after a day in the hot and humid weather. The night viewing station was great - saw a few nocturnal animals. The location is excellent for visiting other areas in the Atherton Tablelands, and 10 mins from Yungaburra for provisions and a nosey about. Owners were very helpful when we needed extra cutlery. A free load of laundry included was a real bonus!"

"A great place topped away on the edge of a rain forest. The owners David and Sharon, could not be more helpful . Their knowledge of the local area is very useful. The tree houses are rustic, but very serviceable. There is only WiFi at reception, you’ve more chance of seeing Hayley’s comet than your phone ringing at a treehouse. One point of note ! Having a car there is essential, there is so much to see in the vicinity it would be an error of judgement not to have one."

Location is perfect to explore the Atherton Tablelands region. Hosts were so welcoming but while they lived in a seperate house on the same property, I never knew they were there, my privacy was completely respected."
