"Just don't dare to go. Unacceptable doesn't mean anything. Just abandoned to its fate without anyone showing up except for a couple of foreigners who are struggling with the unacceptable state of the hotel.. Broken cabinets, dismantled furniture, no light in the surrounding area.. we are forced to open the flashlight on our mobile phones so as not to get crushed on the filthy stairs..... the toilet had no light.. only the LED on the mirror was there so you couldn't even see the sink.. If I talk about the kitchen you will be disgusted... the bedrooms are unacceptable and the television is definitely a species destined to disappear.. one abandoned at the end of the living room.. if it is called a living room.. the balcony had a wonderful view of a building site that had thousands of abandoned scaffolding..the spiders were permanent residents in the light fixtures..I'm just tired of writing and these are just a few of the problems..Trust me, you'll be saved."

"The condition of the bathroom wasn’t the best as it was overflowed and dirty. However once we have inform the staff , managed to cleaned it immediately. The breakfast was poor considering the price you pay to stay in this hotel. The staff was excellent. Not value for money hotel."

"I had a great stay at this nice boutique hotel. Nice room with a balcony and appreciated all the little surprises in the room and the free mini bar. Breakfast is above and beyond with a lot of food. Location is a short walk out of the main areas, no issues with parking although Google Maps takes you a bit of an odd way here and I found an easier way on my own. I didn't talk to the hosts too much. Would definitely recommend."

To our room well it was beyond superb, the swim up pool, and we really ever wanted so it’s a big thank you for our fab room coordinator dinesh - you rock!!!! I would highly recommend you need transportation as it’s quite remote but also hugely accessible if you live a good walk to the beach or restaurant x On the whole the breakfast, lunch and dinner we experienced was 10/10. "The hotel has a great location, not far from the beach, and plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a small supermarket to the right of the hotel entrance where you can buy yogurt and other similar items. Behind the hotel is a commercial street where you can shop, but the shop owners are quite casual, and some close very early. The room has a small balcony, not too big or too small. The only drawback is the poorly designed bathroom; the shower is too small, and the toilet paper isn't even next to the toilet! You can arrange airport or ferry pick-up through the hotel on Ctrip, but this will incur an additional fee."

Faro Del Porto

"The owner was there to meet us and take us to our room on the first floor overlooking the harbour. Good size balcony which caught the morning sun. Lovely view of the harbour. Very quiet location but you really need a car to get about as it is on the top of a steep hill."

Palatino Hotel

"Location good. 10 minute up hill walk from town square. Staff were generally friendly. Room dated. Balcony door handle broke off when trying to open door, shower door kept falling off. Toilet seat loose. Room small. Bathroom smaller. Pool was good but did not open until 11am apparently due to start time of ‘life guard’ who was there sometimes not always. Lifeguard constantly telling people off for jumping in pool, depending on who was jumping in pool. Sun loungers old, tatty & uncomfortable, umbrellas old tatty . Breakfast poor . Food quality poor. Lunch menu & food round pool poor, drinks poor. Bottled beer was good. Receptionist was lovely Will NOT be returning…"

"As we decided to stay overnight in Poros we booked in at the last minute . This hotel, facing the sea, has been recently refurbished and is a very high standard 2 star. Our room was simply but tastefully furnished with a lovely modern en suite . The breakfast room is very attractively decorated and the breakfast selection includes both Greek and English dishes. Staff were very friendly. The balcony looked straight out to sea where we witnessed a beautiful sunrise. We will definitely stay here again!"

"We returned yesterday from a holiday in Lixouri in Kefalonia and stayed in this hotel which we absolutely recommend. Convenient as a starting point for the beautiful nearby beaches or more challenging trips. The center is just a stone's throw away, as is the port and the many taverns. The car park behind the hotel, the owner, an exquisite person, pampered us with large quantities of fresh fruit which he also made available for us on the day of departure... It's a pleasure to meet people like that and we will definitely be back. We thank him because he also contributed to making this holiday beautiful!"

"I’ve booked this hotel 3 times now, the 1st time through an agent and then through the owners directly. I’ve always booked the same room which is on the ground floor and has a lovely patio. We’ve had 2 lovely holidays here. We booked while here last year for this year and paid a CASH deposit which is what they prefer, they also prefer you to pay in CASH when you check in . I confirmed everything by email a week before including our booking for room 7. On my arrival I was informed that the room had been given to another guest who had booked the room more times than I had and was offered another room upstairs, all I can say is a heated argument ensued and I was shown the door, then having to look for alternative accommodation. On looking back through earlier guest reviews this is a common occurrence. Obviously they are getting a better price for the room. So if you book early direct with the owner don’t take it for granted that you will get what you booked. The emails requesting cash payments have been forwarded on"
