voco DARWIN SUITES by IHG ★★★★

📍 87 Mitchell Street, Дарвін

"The hotel is still new, but I think it will be very run-down in a year. I wouldn't recommend it right now, as there are plenty of good options nearby. The service is extremely unprofessional, both from management and at reception; you feel like you're talking to a complete nobody. I'd especially like to point out the awful pillows and mattress; they're extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast is disgusting, and you can't even call it breakfast; it's piled high with inedible food. If you like toast and butter, it's probably fine, but toast isn't worth the price of breakfast! The only good thing is the location, but everything is close in Darwin. And to be fair, I'll mention the hotel restaurant; it's not bad, but again, the service could be better."

"It's in the heart of the CBD, making it a perfect base for sightseeing! The rooms and common areas were a bit disappointing considering the low price. However, the staff were very friendly, which was great. There's a bar attached, so it gets quite lively at night."

"Absolutely outstanding stay at the newly opened voco Darwin Suites! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with warm, friendly service that continued throughout our entire stay. You can really tell the team takes enormous pride in the hotel and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The suites are beautifully designed — spacious, modern and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel both luxurious and relaxing. The location is fantastic and perfectly positioned to enjoy Darwin. A special mention must go to The Aviary Brasserie and Bar, which was an absolute highlight. The food was exceptional and the alfresco dining area is simply stunning — the perfect setting to enjoy a meal and drinks in the beautiful Darwin weather. Such a vibrant and inviting atmosphere! It’s exciting to see such a high-quality new addition to Darwin’s accommodation scene. Huge congratulations to the entire voco Darwin Suites team — we can’t wait to return!"

"Was expecting more given the price we paid, apparently already considered low season. The pool lagoon was disappointing and expected higher standards, more staff and cleanliness. Hotel restaurant food expensive unless gambling and apparently would have great discount. Room service was good and value for money. Expected small amenities like free bottled water to be more generous given the heat. Apparently just 2 bottles per check in although we stayed 2 nights . Bathroom and toiletries reasonable although bathroom door had a drum which made it inconvenient to open as door swung closed automatically .."
