"I'm a fan of a good boutique hotel, and this one is a treat. It's utterly charming, a chic renovation of a historic building right in the heart of Jarnac. The new owner is a delight and knows the region intimately. ALL the rooms are winners; the owner gave us a full tour and you can't go wrong. Just know that Jarnac is quiet and like much of rural France, many of the restaurants will be closed on Monday nights; you may have to go to Cognac for dinner on a Monday but that's easy; it's only a few kms."

"Unfortunately only a one night stay huge suite with kitchenette and fridge, clean and warm I loved the jacuzzi bath, comfortable king size bed, good breakfast obviously pool not open yet but the garden looked lovely as was the building. I would recommend to anyone staying in Cognac Excellent value for money."

"We booked for bastille day which is famous for the fireworks here and we fancied making a big night of it. Fireworks were cancelled due to the heatwave and Kevin checked with us if that changed our plans, it didn’t, we had a great night (bit too great) and staggered back late to this magnificent b&b. Large rooms, comfy beds, lovely big showers and a terrific view in the morning. Kevin and Amanda are super friendly and attentive hosts from check in to leaving after a tasty and comprehensive breakfast. Just the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Definitely an annual return, hopefully fireworks next year? Thoroughly recommended. Really fancy the beekeeping visit soon."

"Off to a great start when 6 months before our stay, our hostess Minka was so helpful with booking local restaurants and a brilliant taxi company which were likely to be busy due to it being Circuit des Remparts week in Angouleme. On arrival we were able to park securely and sit down with a few local beers. Over the following two days Minka gave us some more great assistance including stepping up in the face of a medical emergency. She really is a fantastic hostess, both personable and efficient at the same time; it seems nothing is beyond her! The hotel rooms, including a residents' lounge are well presented in a style that matches the building and the wifi works well. A beautiful hotel, very capably run and we will definitely book again if we are travelling that way. Recommended."

"The hotel is a very nice hotel and is very nice and very nice. All three, with Stevan and Philippe, they are unique to be open to the world and especially focused on their guests ! And multicultural and anchored in the cognac and the big champagne, including Sven generously shares the best local secrets! The best way to find a good and nice cuisine is to help the guests to enjoy the best and nice foods and to help them to enjoy the best and nice foods. The best guest table we have made! The pdj is on the same line made of good products! And in the room faced with the winegrowers with loss of sight, we take full of the eyes! The relais is a monumental residence, with a castle life air! From its suspended terraces, its park, to its swimming pool, its course like a course of honour... The life is soft and the suspended time, perfect for resources, and be made to shower like kings! The reception room, the lighted gardens and the many beds also give us festive ideas 😁 We will need more than one stay to destroy all the secrets and benefits of this place, and that's so better!
