"Ideally located for a two night stay whilst visiting relatives. Nice and quiet rooms set back from the road made it ideal for a quiet lie in (we overslept on both days so a very good sign!!). Rooms are well presented, very clean and nicely decorated. We opted for the continental style breakfast which was generous and tasty. Very easy to organise and book and the hosts made it easy throughout. Would definitely recommend and re-book next time."

"We came to chard for a family wedding found this small Hotel online and booked as soon as we had the wedding date confirmed as there are not that many places to stay around here. I don’t really know what I was expecting, but this did exceed my expectations. The room that we were given was a good size. The ensuite had a huge shower. Everything was very clean complimentary coffee tray included nice walkers biscuits and plenty of coffee, sugar and milk also tea bags, but I don’t drink tea We had also booked the Restaurant for our first night here and again exceeded expectations the food is proper well cooked fresh food not the biggest of choices but what we had was very nice as was the breakfast the next morning. Corine and Ron have had this establishment for 22 years and do an excellent job. We would most definitely stay here again and have no problem in recommending to anybody else who needs to be in this area. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Outstanding breakfast with gourmet options. Lovely hosts. Building and room had lots of old fashioned character and charm. Room was small but cosy and had lovely amenities such as very nice quality linens, filtered water, a fan which made the air circulation perfect, and a nicely equipped but compact bathroom. Lovely sit to sit outside and enjoy the garden. Beds were quite narrow and the traffic on the road was heavy and noisy during certain parts of the day. I had thought I had booked a room facing the garden and was disappointed to find it was at the front of the house."

"Friendly enough in arrival, proper spit n sawdust pub, shown to room but hallway was grubby and stinks of cigarettes. Room itself was fine and comfortable. Food and drink in the bar very reasonable. Breakfast good and overall experience was good value for money, very cheap."
