"Very friendly and supportive team. The hotel is a bit old but very clean. This is our second time staying there. First time was perfect but this time the cups were not clean and we had to wash them. Also they had forgotten to put towels in the room, however when we called them they brought towels in a minute. The location is 5 mins walk out of the city center which was good for us. Very quiet"

There was no housekeeping during our stay- room wasn’t cleaned for three days—which was quite disappointing. "Our Stay at the holiday park was really amazing, the location, accommodation and facilities were all so neat, the cabin we had looked pretty new and it did have everything we needed, we were 2 families in it and it did fit very well. On top of the outstanding surrounding sceneries the owner Alex was really nice and very friendly. We loved our stay there and we would 100% highly recommend it to other families."

"Great location right on the river and only a couple of hundred meters walk through a park into town. I camped here last week, and luckily got one of the individual unpowered camp sites, which are sites 7, 8 and 9. All the other camp sites are squashed in together on a small bit of grass, which is never really pleasant when you are in a tent. Super modern and clean toilets and camp kitchen and lovely lounge area. Camp fires were allowed along the river front sites and there were plenty of seats and picnic areas spread throughout the park. I decided to stay a second night and went to the office at about 830am to book and pay for the second night. Very disappointingly, about an hour later I received a generic text offering 50% of a second night, but hadn’t been offered that when I went to the office an hour earlier. Hint, if wanting a second night in non peak times, maybe wait until about 930am to book the second night. The staff were friendly and helpful and overall, it was a lovely spot to stay."

"This property has pretty views of the river, great for frolicking in on a hot day or just cooling ones feet after a days hiking. The hosts are very friendly and are so very helpful and go above and beyond what one would expect. The rooms are fully equipped with full kitchen, ensuite and comfortable beds. There is also an undercover BBQ area and lots of grass to picnic on by the river if you prefer. Take a leisurely drive to Mt. Buffalo, Harrietville or Bright. Stroll around the shops or take walks by the river. There are plenty of places to hike if you want something more strenuous but there is your cottage waiting at the end of the day to relax in and absorb the serenity of the evening. If you don't feel like cooking, drive a short distance to the Porepunkah pub which serves a variety of yummy meals. We arrived at Alpine Park River Cottages as strangers and left as friends."

"What a gem! Ashleigh greeted us with such a warm smile and awesome tips on what to see and do around town. The park grounds are absolutely gorgeous — leafy, peaceful, and with a lovely creek running right through it (the perfect chill-out spot!). The amenities are clean and we particularly appreciate the heated bathrooms! We loved that campfires are allowed — nothing beats sitting around the fire under the stars, soaking up that mountain magic. Bright itself is just brilliant — great cafés, many breweries, stunning scenery, and loads to explore. Highly recommend this park if you’re heading this way… we’ll definitely be back!"

"Clean and tidy, the cleanest bathroom and bathtub in the motel I have ever stayed in, thumbs up. Those water cups need to be put in a dishwasher so that the overall grade is higher. If you go skiing, this hotel is very cost-effective before going up the mountain. It is very convenient to eat around. The western food in Alpine hotel tastes good. The store next to the ski equipment rental is also 1/3 of the price on the mountain. If the boss can post the Wifi password in each room, it will be a more value-added service. Overall, this stay ended perfectly"

"We stayed at the Riverbank Park Motel in May 2024. This stay was part of our Great Alpine Road trip. Despite being in a superb location on the river and close to town, it was the worst accommodation we have stayed in. I had tried to be selective in our choice and I found the website photos are misleading. Yes, there has been attempt to freshen the rooms up, but they are reminiscent of motel standards in the 1980s. The mini-kitchen was dirty, as was the windowsills and couch (as the cushions appeared unclean, I stupidly pulled them out to see how dirty they were underneath – big mistake) We didn’t sit on the couch. The carpet was stained, and the curtains had a dirty mark on them too. Needless to say, the fridge had what looked like mould growing in it. I’m not sure which is sadder, the fridge or the permanently-open 7cm gap in the bathroom which allowed a cold wind to endlessly blow the shower curtain against your body as you manoeuvre in the small shower. This was topped off by the hot water running out. This place is ok if you don’t have high standards or much money. But if you want to feel warm and clean, I suggest you go elsewhere. We didn’t bother complaining as the accommodating vibe just wasn’t there. Oh, and I need to mention the old wall rattler air-conditioner for a heater, that huffs and puffs its way through the night like a tired old dragon."

"We spent a lovely long weekend in Bright. It was sunny and the blossoms were out, stunning. Our stay in a 1 bedroom apartment at Westwood Lodge was very relaxing. "We bring outdoor education groups here to learn whitewater canoeing in winter. There is no park better situated for teaching beginners how to Canoe, with direct river frontage right above a rapid, and with ideal camping facilities, heated bathrooms and a beautiful modern kitchen dining room facility. All adds up to a great day on the river, then some comforts at night to prepare for the next day. Ideal time for whitewater paddling June to September when the river is running high"
