"Handy location close to the old town but not in it and only a short drive to Ponferrada to see the fabulous Templar castle. Villafranca del bierza is lovely with the requisite castle and churches on the pilgrim route. The hotel was very comfortable and spacious although very modern in style. Very large comfortable bed. Good shower over the bath. Food in the restaurant was good as was breakfast, shame the dining room felt quite institutional and bright. Friendly helpful staff made you feel welcome, we had a good stay here. Sheltered parking and a gated entrance."

"Careful officials, the reservation I made for Trip.com did not appear in the hotel system, they told me that it is not usually happening and they made another reservation for us, luck is that they had many rooms available. The only point of openness is that the window of the room should have a persian because the sun comes in the morning by the sides of the garden."

"We were stunned when, upon entering the bathroom and lifting the toilet seat, we saw that someone had relieved themselves there, and judging by the appearance and smell, it had been there for several hours. It's unbelievable that a room is handed over in that state. They moved us to another room, but the new one had an adapted bathroom with a shower tray and no screen, so every time we showered, the entire bathroom flooded. Honestly, we expected some gesture from the hotel: a discount, free breakfast, or any small token of appreciation for the inconvenience. However, at reception, they told us they couldn't do anything. Well, I guess it's normal for someone to use the guest bathroom and not even think to flush…"
