Yangshuo Sugar House

A truly magical place. A hotel in a former sugar factory that has preserved its old architecture! Around it are incredible mountains, which the hotel illuminates in the evening. Cozy rooms, thought out down to the smallest detail. A wonderful breakfast. A beautiful pool where you can take photos like in a movie. The hotel is worthy of all its awards.

One of the best design hotel in China in a beautiful natural scenario. Everything was perfect in our stay. Highly recommended.

This hotel is insanely beautiful. The location is great- you are tucked away looking right at the mountains, and just a short taxi ride into town. The hotel was so responsive and helped us to arrange anything we needed- translations, drivers, and activities. The food was western and chinese- and there was a large breakfast buffet. The cocktails served at the pool side bar were fantastic. While we visited on holiday, and there were many guests- it didn't feel like it because there is a lot of space on the property, as well as many things to do in the area- so it doesn't feel crowded at all. The rooms are very spacious and so clean- and the bed was great. Our 2 favorite things about this hotel was the iconic buildings- every single thing you look at is a photo opp- and the second thing is they provide you with a free photoshoot, we got some amazing pictures of our family! We will definitely revisit this hotel in the future!

Loved the atmosphere - a beautiful blend of art, nature and history. The setting is stunning, the food excellent, and the whole place has a very special character.

Beautiful hotel. Absolutely stunning scenery. Hotel restaurant was pretty good. Unfortunately the room didn’t smell great, and they hadn’t changed one of the towels when I checked in.

Stayed the night here with friends. Rooms are great, the little snacks and turn down service were great touches. The hotel is designed very well, only regret it not having enough time to spend in there as grounds are so pretty. Good range of breakfast though restaurant felt overpriced, probably reflective off the accommodation pricing.

Had a great stay, the attention to details was great! Both Lucy and Luna made our stay memorable and was a great help throughout. The hotel itself was a masterpiece of design and essentially a resort with activities available throughout the day.

This hotel is by far the most beautiful hotel I have stayed at thus far. Apart from its surroundings, the hotel is unique and aesthetically pleasing, and the staff are attentive, detail driven, sincere and approachable. I wasn’t prepared for just how much I’d enjoy staying at the Sugar House. The breakfast was also of a high standard—I really liked the watermelon juice, the Greek chicken and potatoes, as well as the coffee and cakes. Lastly, the photographers were amazing. The hotel just made my stay in China that much better. Thank you for letting us stay there.
