"I really liked my stay there. I do think it may be harder for foreigners to stay here compared to possibly other options as most workers do not speak English. I found it quite hard to communicate.
However, I do recommend it and I personally would stay again. Especially as we overcame the challenges of communication and I was easily able to work with the staff. The bathroom and bed are amazing and I would love to use them again. The airport is only 10 yen away by taxi which is amazing and I honestly would come again.
I added two photos. One of my breakfast and another of the room while I was watching tv."

"Love this hotel! Great location very close to subway station and ZhongsanLou with lots of dining choices. Room is great for families too! Very big, equipped with a mini kitchen with induction cooker, pans, utensils, a huge ref and microwave! Practically your home away from home. The breakfast also has lots of great choices! The only ”glitch” for me here is the super long wait in the elevator mid-morning due to many checkouts and breakfast rush. Fire escape stairwell is also locked so we couldnt go down, so we ended up taking the elevator up just to go down. But overall the staff are very helpful, and they even accomodated our extended checkout time."

"The hotel was very close to the main walking street Zhongshanlu (1 min walk!), and the room was spacious, clean and tidy. A projector is available in the room, but you need to have a VIP account or Xiaomi phone to maximize the value of it. Free movies were also available, but dont expect a lot. As for the view, it was brilliant as the island was just there out of the window."

"Hotel is located beside most convenient business street, Zhong Shan Road. Hotel is operated by professional hotelier with 24hr counter F2F support. Staff are all super friendly, actually the common hotel market, service is very very good at Xiamen City. What you see in hotel intro picture is 100% real. The hotel is very beautiful. My kids like the family room with slide. They like the afternoon tea biscuits very much! It is a kid friendly hotel. Cleanness is A+ too. Overall we are very satisfied with our 2nites stay."

"The hotel is well located. Behind it is Zhongshan road pedestrian walk. One minute walk away is a huge shopping mall. The nearest MRT Zhenghai Lu station is about 7min walk thru the shopping centre.
Hotel amenities are very complete. I used their free laundry & steamer almost everyday. Washing liquid or detergent are also provided.
Staff are extremely friendly & helpful in many ways. A special mention to 小钟 & 小纪 who helped me with booking of High Speed Rail tickets - which is a difficult process if booked thru 12306 app which needs a local contact phone #n for which I didn't have.
Will I book this hotel again? A definite Yes.."

We had a fantastic stay at the Kempinski and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The hotel is perfectly located, with a stunning view of the lake, which was especially enchanting at night. Watching the moonlight dance on the water while relaxing at the hotel was truly magical.
The staff were so warm and accommodating, but we’d like to give a special mention to Scott. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and his friendly nature really made us feel at home.
Breakfast was a real treat. The buffet had a great variety of options, and we were always excited to see what was on offer each morning. We particularly loved the apple oatmeal – it became a must-have for us during our stay!
One of the highlights of the trip was strolling around the lake together. It was so peaceful and refreshing, and the scenic walk added such a lovely touch to our mornings.
All in all, our stay at Kempinski was perfect. We left feeling relaxed, well-fed, and grateful for the amazing service and beautiful surroundings. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with top-notch service and views to match!"
