I highly recommend the Lujiang Hotel! The customer service representative, Yanzi, provided a thoughtful and informative guided tour, delving into the history of Jia Gong’s architecture from 1958 and explaining the city’s blend of Chinese and Western influences—the Lujiang Hotel. The location is exceptional, situated near Zhongshan Road, and stepping out of the hotel takes you directly to the stunning views of Gulangyu Island. The rooms are elegant and vintage, with floral tiles harmoniously complementing the ocean views. The customer service representative, Yanzi’s, service was thoughtful, and the breakfast was authentic. Immersing yourself in the century-old charm of Lu Dao was truly worthwhile!

Incredibly beautiful building with a fantastic location on Zhonghsan Pedestrian Street. Very beautiful and relaxing rooms too. Service was fantastic. Highly recommended.

I recently stayed at Lujiang Harbourview Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The hotel has a quaint charm — the room was decorated with a lovely olden-day, vintage feel, yet it was very comfortable and well-maintained. Breakfast was a highlight, with both buffet options and à la carte dishes. We especially enjoyed sampling some of Xiamen’s local specialties. Another pleasant surprise was the daily complimentary hi-tea served at the 1958 Lobby Bar — a wonderful touch that made our afternoons extra enjoyable. The location is simply unbeatable. The start of Zhongshan Pedestrian Street is right next to the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and exploring. I spent two full days wandering around the area. 八市街 is also just around the corner, offering plenty of delicious local food options. A special shout-out to staff member 张春燕, who went above and beyond in helping us. When we were unable to book ferry tickets through WeChat as foreigners, she kindly used her personal phone to help us secure them. Truly exceptional service — 5 stars for her! Overall, Lujiang Harbourview Hotel gave us a warm and memorable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Xiamen.

Excellent location; good room except no fitness Centre or pool. Breakfast is limited but decent. Minimal western option but the Chinese options they have are very good. They do an ala carte with a small buffet selection. Service levels on the whole are above average.

I had a pleasant stay at Xiamen Lujiang Harbour View Hotel. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with elegant interiors and a great location overlooking the harbour. A special mention goes to the concierge team, who were extremely helpful. They assisted with receiving my parcels and kept everything well organized, even helping me manage items that needed to be returned. Their efficiency and willingness to help were greatly appreciated. The breakfast selection was adequate, although the Western options were somewhat limited. While the hotel is listed as a luxury property on Trip.com, my experience felt more like that of a very good upper-upscale hotel rather than a true luxury hotel. The physical property is attractive, but the service lacked some of the attentiveness, personalization, and consistency that I would normally expect from a luxury hotel. One minor inconvenience is that the hotel entrance is relatively small and easy to miss. On more than one occasion, taxi drivers had difficulty locating the entrance when picking me up, which could be frustrating for first-time visitors. Overall, it is a comfortable and well-located hotel with a helpful concierge team, but travelers expecting a full luxury-hotel experience may find it falls a little short of those expectations.
