Halibut Hotel

I paid $584.00 for a room which I did not sleep in, because I was warned that the area was not safe. They would not refund me any of my deposit. I stayed in Punta Cana instead. Do not trust ******* to find a safe hotel, is my opinion, because they do not investigate the reviews or the area they recommend.

Stay here due to flight cancelation, and I have to admit it surprised me. Spotless and friendly staff. I hope they keep the professionalism and cleanliness. The location of the main entrance does not help the hotel, but once you are in is pretty safe, for DR is clean La Romana is pretty safe.

Halibut hotel I would like to start by saying that the staff is very courteous, polite & helpful. They’re beautiful people. I would like to thank Moises, he treated us very nice. As soon as we arrived and saw the electric fence I knew we were in a dangerous neighborhood, it’s all fenced in and it has a private parking lot with a guard. We weren’t able to enter through the main doors because of danger in the area, we had to enter through the parking lot. The hotel is small, it was very clean. We stayed in a standard room queen size bed # 2302, the room was super tiny and super uncomfortable, the room had several issues. They try to fix all issues right away but the room needs attention. There was no hot water, in order to get hot water I had to open the sink faucet let the water run for a while and eventually I would get hot water in the shower. Our door lock was broken, they changed it. The mini-fridge barely worked The room would get extremely humid. No fan in the bathroom. AC was good. Mattress, pillows and linens seemed new, but very low quality. Towels were limited and rough. Room amenities are very basic. Balcony is tiny. The bed is mounted on a wood base and we kept on hitting our feet with it. Lobby, pool and common areas are beautiful. Food at the restaurant was ok. Not too many options on their breakfast. If there was people in the hall speaking we could hear like if it was inside our room. At checkout we couldn’t leave until they checked our room and make sure nothing was stolen or damaged.

El Hotel es muy bonito, el chico de la recepción muy educado y amable estuve hoy allá y lamentablemente no volvería más por las siguientes razones: el personal es poco y no dan abastos para tantas personas, la piscina es muy pequeña para tantas personas, pedimos el almuerzo y se tardaron 2 horas en traerlo y si no nos regamos no lo traen, el itbis es muy alto también te Tienes que pagar la propina legal obligado, por que eso también te lo hacen aunque no estés alojado y vallas de pasadía, y lamentablemente no volvería yo a ese lugar, muy bonito pero es con sus trucos que ellos prácticamente ponen que los 1,000 de entrada son consumibles por que ellos saben que te dan en la madre con eso, con una canastica de pollo y una cerveza se te acabaron los 1,000, no volvería. Es un abuso con el itbis mientras eso siga así para ahí no vuelvo. Es una estafa, es un engaño

Sin lugar a dudas la mejor opción para una excelente estadía en la Romana, un personal muy amable, capacitado y atento, Mary y Tania de la mía personal nos vemos pronto. Siempre fiel al halibut Hotel.

Excelente muy cómodas además que el servicio es excelente para mi fue una maravillosa experiencia además que esta bien ubicado, además sus empleado siempre está con una sonrisa y son jume agradable en lo personal lo recomiendo 100%
