Good place to visit

我住的是三晚水屋，因為我去過太多海邊，所以覺得沙屋沒有水屋難得。 水屋顧名思義就是在水上，房間很寬敞，動線非常合理，陽台、洗手間、房間是互通的，方便從陽台直接下水後進入洗手間沖洗；每天真的有2次衞生打掃；洗手間還可以打開落地窗看到水下；當然打開陽台門還可以在房間內躺着看瀉湖

We recently stayed for six nights at the beautiful and Antara Veli and it was outstanding. We have been fortunate to have stayed in the Maldives before, and like previous trips did extensive research before we picked our island. Previously we have chosen hotels that have been further away from Male and travelled by seaplane with teenage kids. The appeal of Anantara Veli for us on this trip (no kids) was the close proximity to Male, only a 20 minutes speedboat from the airport as we wanted to maximise our stay. From being met at the airport by the Anantara concierge team, the speedboat trip and the warm welcome on arrival it couldn’t have started our stay any better, it was seamless. It was a cloudy day when we arrived, but this did not take away from the beauty of the island. Part of the charm is that the island is made up of several other islands, the sister family resort of Dhigu, a private residence island and Picnic Island which is a beautiful private island good for snorkelling (and the most fantastic cocktail tiki bar!). Veli is a small island but having these other islands close by, a few minutes boat trip across the lagoon which runs very regularly throughout the day and evening gives you access to explore more. Anantara Veli is adult only, so if you are couple looking for a quiet and romantic retreat you could not ask for more. We have always received amazing service in the Maldives but the service on Veli goes above and beyond. There seemed to be more staff than guests and in fact, you can wander around the island and rarely pass anyone other than a smiling member of staff. The day we to Picnic Island to snorkel there was only us and one other couple on the whole island! We were lucky enough to stay in an over water pool villa and it was absolutely stunning. Although I have to say all of the accommodation looks amazing. Each guest is allocated a concierge and a special mention to Nount for all of her help during our stay. As many hotels now do, Veli offer a ‎WhatsApp service but the difference is you have the same person who will look after you throughout your stay so you build a personal relationship which was great. Nount could not have been more helpful. The dining options are fabulous, I could not criticise anything. The breakfast at Cumin is the perfect way to start the day. It is a la carte which makes a lovely change from buffet breakfast which I am sure creates so much unnecessary waste. Everything is made fresh and there is a wide choice and all that we sampled was delicious. Dhoni pool bar is a wonderful spot for lunch, again service amazing and food fabulous, chicken tikka wraps!!! The Thai, Baan Huraa was our favourite evening restaurant. It was the best Thai food we have tasted outside of Thailand, a wonderful touch to meet the head chef the two times we visited. Again, just amazing staff, so friendly and keen to help with menu choices. Every restaurant has that personal touch and the staff go out of their way to make y
