Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

We just had the most perfect and fantastic stay of our lives at Nujuma Ritz Carlton Red Sea Resort. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty and family. Our beach villa was fabulous and we preferred it over the overwater ones as it has private beach access. Heena, our personal host did everything to make our stay special and most perfect. Picking us up, taking us all over the beautiful resort, arranging our dinner and activities. Thank you for everything:) Thank you Suneil for arranging our stay and offering us a choice of villas. That was very kind of you and we appreciate the upgrade and your kindness. Breakfast was a main highlight! Every staff member is so friendly and everyone took such great care of us. It was not a normal breakfast but an experience filled with memories, yummy food, laughter, and the most kind staff. Tousif took a us through a culinary experience tasting many different foods. He was super kind and caring and authentic wanting us to have the best experience and we did! His wonderful team including Cammelle, Agostina, Ohud, Haitham and Daya (who makes the worlds best cappuccino art) all treated us like family. Food was excellent and we didn’t want to leave! Our dinner by beach bar was equally excellent. Food delicious. Michael the food and beverage manager even checked in on us to ensure everything was perfect. We can’t believe how kind everyone was. Our servers for dinner I forget their names took excellent care of us. The pool and beach staff were also incredible Provash, Prasenjit, Mstular, Paul, Sumit, Satyanand all were there to check in on us and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we were happy and made us feel special and cared for. Thank you. Haneen assisted us with checkout in Villa and was so nice and made our departure seamless. We want to thank everyone at Nujuma, I’m sorry for those who names I did not remember but you all equally contributed to such a special and memorable stay for us. Thank you all for the treats, in room amenities, help with our bags, the housekeeping team and everyone behind the scenes. It’s thanks to all of you for such a special experience for us and other guests. William your beautiful artwork and card were most meaningful. You are an amazing artist! This property is like no other. It is built to perfection where no detail is left out. Villas are designed beautifully, landscaping is amazing, public areas and restaurants are sure to inspire. There are so many fun activities we didn’t even have time to do them all. The spa is world class. I could go on and on. We can’t wait to return!

This island has a unique Saudi-themed atmosphere that is impossible to find anywhere else—not even something close to it! What made it truly special was the exceptional hospitality and the warm spirit of all the crew members, which added so much value to the experience. Without a doubt, I will repeat this experience more than once! I want to extend my sincere gratitude to (Rania) for her outstanding coordination, ensuring everything went smoothly and answering all my questions at any time. She even surprised me upon my arrival at the hotel with a beautiful drawing she made of my WhatsApp profile picture—it was amazing and made my whole week! A special thanks as well to (Nusrat), who not only guided us on an insightful island tour, sharing fascinating heritage and cultural knowledge but was also always around to assist us and ensure everything was perfect. He truly added so much to the experience and made it even more enjoyable! For anyone looking for a unique experience and exceptional service, I highly recommend visiting this breathtaking place!

The service was great. Food was amazing. The activities were endless and overall just good fun. Our driver Stephan was always very willing to help and always told us the best spots to go to. The only downside of the trip was the cold weather but there is nothing the personnel could have done about that.

It was a very nice place with great service. The weather was cold and windy. But I guess that in summer it must be amazing. We tried diving and water sports. They offered all the most modern gadgets like efoil, escooter and seabob. Stephan took great care of us.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel to a lot of great hotels, and don’t mind paying up for great experiences, but sadly I think Nujuma takes the cake for one of the most scandalous voluntary robberies I’ve ever subjected myself to (up there with the Santa Marina in Mykonos, interestingly both Marriotts). Besides the fact that $2,700/night is AT LEAST double, and maybe three times what’s a fair price for the quality, the most insulting part about it is that once you book, they reveal that the astronomical price doesn’t even include the cost for the boat ride to and from the property. On top of that, the food is both very poor and very expensive (and you obviously have no other option since you’re stuck on a small island), so there’s really no end to the grift. I was so disappointed by lunch that I didn’t bother having dinner. The property is very unremarkable, the tranquility of walking or biking around spoiled the constant buggies and supply carts that will pass you every 2 minutes, and the views are spoiled by overlooking the adjacent St Regis. The rooms, while spacious, are quite charmless in my opinion. On top of it all - the hotel failed to honour my Amex benefit of a guaranteed upgrade on availability, and didn’t apply my credit either until I insisted on it twice and showed them proof I booked through Amex. It’s the only time this has ever happened - these benefits are usually applied automatically. If you’re looking for a small private island retreat, go to Amanpulo in the Philippines instead - FAR more beautiful island, far better hotel, better food, for a far lower price. There’s just no comparison.

Literally everything at this place exceeded my expectations. Hospitality is top notch & the staff was the best. Stefan looked after us and we will definitely be back again. My favourite place on earth to visit. Loved everything there , nothing disappointed
