same bad experience as others: dirty (dusty), loud (parties in the street underneath window and in the rooms left and right, beds are terrible, you have to climb a lot of stairs, fridge hasn't been cleaned out for a long time, you have to pay extra for things that are free at other hostels, receptionist yells at guest for calling their number and very rude in general

We had a terrible experience with Renata and her crew. They are scammers. Please stay away from their properties. We stayed at the "Viru Cozy Flat". We had to call the Police and fight with them to get our 200€ deposit back. They had no reason to keep it and told us that we if we wanted it back we had to give a 10 points review on ***********. They will try to scam you in any way. They came up with a thousand stupid reasons to keep the deposit. Renata and her husband are the hosts. They are insanely bad, rude and, most of all, they are scammers. Janek is the guy that comes to give you the keys and "check" the apartment at the end. He is their accomplice and he will act dumb and say that he is not responsible for it. It is not true. He is fully part of the scam and he knows what he is doing. He is as bad as Renata and her husband. One of the worst experiences in my entire life. They might reply reply to this review with a lot of nonsense things. They have been doing it with us a lot. They pretend not to speak and understand English well, and that's part of the scam. Watch out really...

We had an absolutely terrible experience with Renata Schreiterfeld, one of the hosts of this particular hostel. We stayed at the flat "Viru Cozy Flat", just around the corner from the hostel, that she advertises on Airbnb & Booking and had to contact the Estonian police in the end of our stay as she was not willing to return our deposit of the flat for NO reason. She also insisted that she would only return our deposit if we gave her 10 as the review score which is ridiculous after the experience we had. There are other really bad reviews about this host so please avoid supporting such criminal activity, I'm sure the hostel is no exception. They will try to scam money from you with any way possible. Unfortunately one of us forgot his phone in the flat and in the end they requested 60e more to send it back. This was truly the most terrible accommodation experience and the rudest host we've ever encountered. Renata has several accomplices (one called Janek) who "work" with her and pretend that they know nothing about what is going on or speak any English. Please DO avoid to save you from too much hassle!

Top! Este pequeno Hostel no centro da cidade velha de Tallinn é muito bem localizado, asseado, o dono do hotel é muito prestável e o preço é acessível. Gostei do facto de existir chá e café grátis. Recomendo para grupos de amigos e viagens escolares. Perto do hostel existe um bar o Labir bar muito giro, com decoração química, e um restaurante/pastelaria Kohvik Peppersack que vale a pena também conhecer.

HORRIBLE!! Et je pèse mes mots. Pour commencer, le réceptionniste est très désagréable, montre un dégoût vis-à-vis de ses clients. Aucun sens de l’accueil ni du service, méprisent ses clients lors de l'arrivée. L’emplacement de l’établissement est idéal mais se trouvant en dessus d’une boîte de nuit, il est impossible de dormir la nuit. Sans isolation sonore, il est très facile d’avoir accès au conversation des fêtards qui sortent prendre l’air juste en dehors de la boîte. La ventilation est inexistante. Une odeur nauséabonde plane dans tout l’établissement ainsi que dans la chambre. Ayant des problèmes de sonorisation durant la nuit, il est impossible de faire circuler l’air dans la chambre se qui la rend irrespirable. Nous avons dormir 5h sur les deux nuits passées dans l’établissement. En se qui concerne la cuisine, les frigos sentent la moisissure et n’est pas entretenu régulièrement. Notre expérience dans cette établissement était si particulière qu’il serait possible d’écrire nettement plus. À fuir immédiatement !!!!
