Terrible check in experience, lady named "Shirley" offered to help us check-in when the main check-in counters were occupied. But we regretted accepting her help as later we had to tolerate her angsty attitude and her incompetence. After wasting a good 5-10 mins, we had to rejoin the queue for the main counters to check in. By then we realized people who came after us already checked in...
Then we thought after getting our keys, everything should be all good. Unfortunately no, the moment we entered our assigned room (420), we could smell the air is moudly/damp and it was really uncomfortable. The assigned room type (bed above) was also not what we booked (bed below). We contemplated for awhile whether to change our room due to the poor customer service we experienced while checking-in.
10 mins later we really couldn't stand the smell a d went down to the main counter to explain our displeasure about the room. But staff conveniently said moudly smell is normal as it's humid... But... a well maintained air con should not have such issue. Fortunately we didn't have to argue further, she checked and luckily there was still room for us.
The new room (916) smell normal but the room was really aged and dirty. Counter tops were dusty, there were cracks/holes in the built in carpentry (e.g., platform), some parts felt unsturdy when stepped on. But we thought it's still better than living in a smelly room...
Also, there were no bathrobes even though it's stated available in the booking. Checked with staff if this is normal and she said yes without any regards...
Will think twice if I were to come here again.
