Lido Sharm Hotel Naama Bay

Awesome stay at lido staff is excellent specially reception room and food is great all in all I had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it

It was the first time for me to come to this hotel I liked it so much and all the animation was so fondly and also the animations shows were very good the hotel is clean and everyone was so friendly with me and the position of the hotel is very good because is in the center

Lido unique in so many ways… it’s location, all facilities are steps from your door, guest rooms ship style old world charm, 1st line sand beach & pontoon sea access where tropical fish hide beneath! Moments from dive boat departures & dive schools. Mainly Russian contingent as is all NaamaBay these days with various other nationalities being a small hotel however, guests all very friendly and enjoying themselves, no one being rude, drunk or arrogant. Perhaps due to the staff as no employee ignores you or avoids service each genuinely helpful, all plainly happy working at Lido, never miserable which is refreshingly rare. The entire place is also spotless, cleaned constantly with pride throughout. Room facilities well lit, spacious each with balcony sea view, safe, fridge, good toiletries, storage & water pressure. Not modern, so can seem tired but I think charming, again cleaned super efficiently & restocked. All incl catering is problematic - has two live stations at every meal, + large varied cooked & cold buffets at each sitting so will always be something for all tastes just do not expect to like everything in fact if you like 2 mains - Result. Note I did not say hot buffet as the cooked food is placed out however buffet hot warmers never turned on so food luke warm/cold mainly (think as AirCon costly if hot buffet working as area would then heat). Likewise cold buffet prepared prior plus placed out early without refrigeration turned on so not cooled. Replenishing dishes not smooth - can appear run out - waits for refill (just on Egyptian time). Cake dessert buffet lunch/dinner IMO dry tasting looks pretty just all taste similar? Only exception was baklava night when desserts decimated within 30 mins….Same not true at breakfast as danish pastries, donuts (plain croissants rarely refilled as that good) are delicious - they should incl them for all meals. Food 95% bland to taste cooked not even using basic seasoning of salt&pepper, there is a unnamed dry spice rack offered….live chef station happy to use spices to cook to your taste. 3rd day had appetite overload with snack offers between sittings all too much….6th day bad stomach combination of reasons but food deffo did not help. Never long wait for drinks @ the 3 bars all tend to be on the sweet side and bartender skills vary widely so drinks inconsistent, limited selection of local alcohol but it’s poured generously. Again replenishing at bars not smooth - Egyptian time waits for ice, mixers etc refilled always patience required at times! Wine terrible, red is vinegar & white warm & slightly sweet….flat juices are 95% sugar undrinkable if aged 10+ For me the rooftop pool with its 360 sweeping vista of the entire Naama Bay with its Mountain backdrop is priceless - a people watching paradise. No scramble for chairs either always space (guests only) small hotel means no over crowding with relaxed vibe. Main reason to book here and why I returned to Lido. Perfect tanning as cat
