Gangdong (Myeongil Station) Emheim

Stayed here as it was close to KSPO DOME, it was a 10-15 minute train ride making it convenient to head for a concert there, the train station was only a 1-3 minute walk to the hotel (Exit 4!) making it quick to go to the hotel from the station, this accommodation is super affordable but yet you get a double bed and a decent sized toilet/shower. The bed and the AC were super comfortable as well, this place also provides basic amenities such as shampoo, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste. They provide free unlimited water bottles in the lobby as well. The elderly couple who own the place are super friendly and speak very simple English, I highly recommend for anyone who is watching a concert in KSPO Dome to stay here. This place is near Myeongil station, there is direct airport bus from the train bus station (exit 1), you can take the airport bus to and fro to reach the hotel area, do note the journey is slightly long at 2-2.5 hours so please factor in some time when you want to go back to the airport. Overall, this place is affordable yet it remains super comfortable and cosy for a short stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Neighborhood restaurant was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, the service exceeded my expectations, and I truly felt at home throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I had some hesitations about this place, given some of the other reviews, but those hesitations turned out unfounded. I came late and both of the owners were waiting for me and were very welcoming and generous. I hadn’t eaten for some time since the flight took a long time and they showed me where I could get food late at night and even walked me to the store. The room itself is small and probably better for solo traveler or if it’s a couple then maybe only a night or two. But for a small room, it’s quite cozy and I would’ve stayed here longer. I forgot to bring my electrical adapter and was happy that they had a little multiple connection dongle. There’s also a refrigerator and the AC and shower work great. Nice spot for solo. Would come again.

The room is clean and has everything it needs. Near bus stop and subway station, you can take the direct bus to Olympic Park.

An outstanding service! Owners are very kind and helpful. Location is easy accessible via metro and buses, though a bit far from city centre. The district is quiet with lots of restaurants nearby. The room is extremely clean and spacious. I enjoyed my stay very much!

Although it is a little bit far from downtown, but public transport is convenient in the city. Stayed 6 nights and had no troubles with anything. Extremely liked total blackout on windows, so it was very convenient! The motel kindly switched my room to the non-smoking floor.

Hotel is so near to metro station it is advantage. Room is big and clean. Owner man and woman is so nice they provide everything what i want their english not so good but you can communicate. My room doesn’t smelly , bed is clean so it is price performance place

Location is a little difficult to find since it’s through a small doorway and in the second floor. If you’re trying to explore central Seoul, it will not be convenient due to travel time. The bed was clean, there was an electric blanket. Water bottles, kettle and hair brush were available. Staff provided instructions in English on a piece of paper and were very kind and polite.

This is a good option if you’re traveling alone. Everything is clean, subway station is in 2 minute walking distance. The owners are very kind and helpful! It’s pretty far from the city center but subway is quite convenient, so it’s fine.
