Ancient Thera Studios

I can’t express enough how fantastic my stay was! Not only is the location ideal but the service is above and beyond in every way. A hidden oasis 5 minutes away from one of the nicest beaches of Santorini 🏖️⛵ The room was immaculately clean and so comfortable. Above them all was the family who greeted us with large smiles from the beginning to the end of our adventure 😍 They couldn't have been more helpful. There are very few places that meet so many standards and make you feel so at home. I would happily stay here again and again. When we come back to Santorini, we will 100% return 💕

This is a traditional Greek hotel, and we chose the cheapest room (basement) so it was pretty small and basic. But we knew that before we travelled, and the room had everything we needed in it for a comfortable week's stay. The owners are friendly and the rooms are cleaned daily to a really high standard. The restaurant wasn't open when we were there as the resort as a whole felt like it was just getting started for the season. There isn't a pool at Ancient Thera Studios but we just went to the beach everyday as many places are happy for you to chill on their loungers as long as you buy a couple of drinks or some food. Tranquilo was our favourite spot on the beach front. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the beach front and the main bars/restaurants in Perissa, where there's plenty of choice for food and drinks etc. You're also in a great position to walk up the volcano to the ancient ruins and to the old church in the hillside from Ancient Thera Studios. There are several supermarkets, bakeries, bars etc within 5-10 minutes walk, and you're really close to the public bus stop which takes you to Fira with connections to Oia. The main church is nearby too and it's just as pretty. I'd happily stay here again, and would definitely recommend to anyone who's pretty low maintenance and wants to do their own thing.

We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were lovely and kept very clean as well as being very well equipped. The location was excellent. You could buy a good breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. Kris and his family were always on hand if we needed anything. I would absolutely recommend a stay here.

The apartment was lovely with a balcony and views of the mountain, sea and the town. Cleaned daily and had everything you could need. The family who own the property were great and couldn't so enough for us, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great, close to the beach, bars,restaurants and a couple of mini markets. We could have used a pool a few metres away but we loved the beach so stayed there when we weren't exploring. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times, both lovely meals and I'd have to say that it was my favourite moussaka of the holiday and I tried a few!!! Would definitely stay here again. This was my second stay at Ancient Thera Studios and I love the family as much as all the wonderful services at the studio; it always feels like home. Wonderful care and super clean room that’s kept clean daily with wonderful views - close to the beach, stores and bus station. It’s pretty much all you need in Perissa for lovely place to stay at and feeling like being at home. I appreciate the entire family and all the loving care; we will be back as soon as we can! We called here for meals a few times whilst stopping in Athina Apartments just around the corner Made us feel very welcome straight away Lovely immaculate restaurant family run Food and service was first class every time The daughters were lovely and had lots of cuddles and kisses off the lovely Maria who was amazed by our nails 🥰 Thank you If we ever come back we’ll definitely visit again Lynne Colin Esther Rob xx
