Atlantica Princess Hotel

The hotel, service, housekeeping, and food were all of a very high standard. The sea is nearby, though you have to leave the hotel grounds to reach it, and sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach come at an extra cost. The pool is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of sun loungers. The room was spacious, featuring a large balcony and a sea view. However, we have a major complaint regarding the comfort of the bed: the double bed sloped to one side, and the mattress was stained yellow from urine and torn in several places.

We had a lovely week at the Atlantica Princess hotel during the school holidays. We came with our 5 year old who absolutely loved the kids pool and slide and the kids disco each night. We could not fault any of the staff here at the hotel from the greeters at the restaurant to the bar staff especially in the evening the gentleman got to know your order and would bring you a new drink when it was getting low. We also never had any issues getting sunbeds in the area we wanted to sit usually around 9am even during busy school holidays. Another highlight was the evening entertainment in particular the acrobatic show was brilliant. The food in the hotel was nice and we always found something to each meal. We also used the reception organised mini bus to visit Old Rhodes town one evening and would highly recommend doing this to see the sights of the area. Special mention to a special member of staff at a sister hotel at Atlantic Eleon Grand in Zante, Kalliroy their guest relations manager/ our wedding coordinator last September knew we was visiting Rhodes and organised for fruit, desserts and a bottle of wine to be sent to our room as a lovely surprise during our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel to families wanting a small but friendly, clean hotel.

The receptionist was very kind and helpful the food was not bad the room service also one day the didn’t remove the emty bottle under the bed and do not tide the bed we asked them why they told us that when you will be checked out next day the wont do it otherwise the tide our parents room the waitress were very kind and hard working we see them all day the pool was clean and perfect the internet was bad at the rooms and something else we were all inclusive and if we want popcorn or slash some drinks they charge us for it and the old chef on the egg station i asked him to cook me an scrambled egg for my daughter because she liked it dry he refuse and told there is at the buffet either way everything was good we enjoyed it thanks

We travelled as a family of seven, all adults aged between 18 and 63, and stayed at the Atlantica Princess Hotel in Ialyssos. From the moment we arrived, we found the hotel very welcoming and accommodating. Our rooms were generously sized, spotlessly clean and had a lovely view across the Aegean Sea towards Turkey. All of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Two members of staff deserve a special mention. Oyla, who looked after our table each evening, had all the qualities you could wish for. She was warm, friendly and had a fantastic personality that really made us feel welcome. Christina, one of the barmaids, was equally lovely and always friendly and accommodating. The food was very enjoyable, with a good variety of choices and different themed evenings. Gluten-free options could also be catered for, although these needed to be requested a day in advance. We made good use of the well-equipped gym and also enjoyed a great range of spa treatments. The hotel shop was well stocked too, with a wide selection covering most holiday essentials. There was plenty to do both at the hotel and further afield. We explored Rhodes Old Town, enjoyed a day trip to Turkey, and spent a day scuba diving. In between our excursions, we made the most of the pool and beach. There was plenty of fun to be had on the water, including being towed behind a speedboat on a huge inflatable ring. Banana boats, paragliding and jet-ski hire were also available. Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending the Atlantica Princess Hotel to others. The friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good food and wide range of activities made it a memorable family break.

Lovely family holiday – with a few things to be aware of We had a lovely stay in Rhodes with our three sons, aged 9, 7 and 5. Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel, although there are a few things worth knowing if you’re travelling with children. The hotel was lovely and clean, our room was always clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a 2 story room which was perfect for us as a family of 5 and had 2 bathrooms which was great. Both of our bathrooms were quite smelly and the floors get so wet when showering so be extra carful of little ones running around. The location was great too – just a short walk to plenty of shops and restaurants, which was really handy. We went out for dinner one night but went out for ice cream and cake or drinks lots of other nights. Mainly to get away from the 8:30-9pm kids entertainment There is a beach a 2 minute walk from the hotel where we watched the sunset one evening which was stunning. It is a pebble beach so not ideal for spending the day there. For our boys, there wasn’t a huge amount for them to do at the hotel. The volleyball was for over 16s and took up a fairly large section of the pool for an hour, which wasn’t ideal when you have younger children wanting to swim. Luckily, our boys made some friends and that kept them entertained. The kids club and kids entertainment was more aimed at children under 5. But, the evening entertainment was good, changed every evening. The aqua aerobics was good fun! It was basically three lovely beautiful young women doing a dance routine at the top of the pool for everyone to follow, and although it wasn’t quite what we expected, we had a good laugh doing it. The biggest downside for us was the sunbeds. There simply weren’t enough, and the dreaded 8am dash was honestly one of my least favourite parts of the holiday. On one morning, my 7-year-old and I were actually barged out of the way by two men who wanted the sunbeds they had their eye on. It was really unpleasant. Unfortunately, if you don’t get up early, you risk not getting a sunbed at all, which is something the hotel could definitely improve. The food was good and there were always plenty of fresh options, but it did become quite repetitive and the food hall could get extremely busy. The children’s section wasn’t particularly impressive either – our 5-year-old basically lived on chips and pasta for the week! My husband is coeliac and we were really impressed with how accommodating the hotel was with his gluten-free requirements. This made a big difference to us and gave us peace of mind. If you do need any dietary requirements, its best to email before your stay so they can prepare for you. Our son also needed dairy free and they had sorbet ice cream behind the bar so he didnt miss out which was lovely. I have traveled a lot but this hotel's atmosphere and staff break all records. The staff are so service-minded, kind and pleasant, every single day. They really make you feel like you live there and not just a guest. Sunbeds are available for everyone. The pool area is opening 8’o clock. The food is varied and very good. The rooms are large and nice. In the room I had there was a fridge, hairdryer and everything you need for showering and washing, slippers and bathrobe. Pool towels are included. The whole hotel area is very clean. The bar menu contains everything you need. Water aerobics, beach volleyball, water polo, kids disco etc. Varied entertainment in the evenings. Yes, there is nothing I miss or that lowers the top rating. So worth the money

4 stars for a 4 star hotel. Hotel & staff: The hotel, although built in the 80s is very clean and well maintained. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Particularly Alexandros, who greeted our son Alex every meal time with a high five. Pool area: One big pool, one toddler pool, and one tiny pool for babies under a shade. I would prefer the big pool to have had some kind of gradual slope to walk in rather than the old style metal steps. Shallow end for the kids and a very deep end for swimmers. Small pool has a little slide which our boy enjoyed. Could have done with some more parasols, and the beds were very close together which could get a bit uncomfortable sitting basically hip to hip with strangers. Bar: There is only one main pool bar, which could get very busy at times. This put us off going up for drinks at times and I ended up just buying drinks from the shop. Drink portions are tiny and full of ice. One glass of cola is basically 100ml of actual drink when you factor the ice. Cocktails are good, as is the beer. I did find one staff member of the pool bar to be quite rude, arguing with someone on her phone with a huge line of people waiting. On night times you’d sometimes get waiter service for drinks which was very welcome when you’re watching the entertainment. Food: Snack bar beside the pool is very good. Burgers, hot dogs, toasties, gyros, chips, salads, fruit, yogurt etc. The guys work flat out. The restaurant/food is very good. Different food each night and a good variety. Lots of healthy options, and a premium station where you’re served rather than buffet style. I still can’t get over how good the braised beef cheek was. Drinks in the restaurant are served by waiters, no bar. Room: The room was nice and clean and maids were in daily. TV, fridge, wardrobe space etc. Bathroom could have done with some better lighting as it was a bit dark. The shower was excellent, nice and powerful. I found the beds to be very hard, which made it difficult for me to sleep. I’m a side sleeper so I ended up with a bit of hip pain. Our room had a pool view, which is where the entrainment is. At night we might as well have slept on the stage it was that loud. I think the balcony doors could be better to help soundproof. The entertainment stops at 11pm, but the bar doesn’t close until 1am so you can still hear people drunkenly carrying on. Air con is a little tricky to get to work, as it doesn’t activate unless the patio doors are shut and the magnets are aligned. Entertainment: Lots of daily activities. Pool yoga, darts, ping pong etc. The night time acts were different each time with a decent variety. Some of it wasn’t my cup of tea, but it was nice to sit outside with a drink all the same. Kids disco is on from 20:30 although our son is now 7 and too miserable to join in now it seems. Surrounding area: The hotel is literally a 30 second walk from the beach. An old style tired looking hotel but exceptionally welcoming friendly and efficient . Our room was spacious vey clean with a see view looking past scrubland. The fantastic staff made our stay so enjoyable Small pool and terraced sunbathing area which I’m sure will be a challenge in peak season for sun-beds and shade, we stayed in May and it was busy enough. Entertainment 6nights a week which was great . Great value for money in our opinion staying in May
