Ich habe nur einen kleinen Kritikpunkt: Die Akustik und Atmosphäre im großen Speisesaal ist nicht angenehm, da alle Wände kahl sind. Mit wenig Aufwand kann man hier nachbessern. Es wird einfach dem restlichen Hotel nicht gerecht. Ansonsten kann ich nur sagen, dieses Hotel setzt in Maspalomas neue Maßstäbe in Qualität und Service! Es wurde nicht nur renoviert wie viele andere Hotels sondern komplett grundsaniert und auf Neubau-Standard gebracht! Und ich weiß wovon ich rede - ich fahre seit 20 Jahren jedes Jahr nach Maspalomas und kenne viele Hotels! Hier ist richtig viel Geld reingeflossen. Ich möchte nur ein paar Highlights nennen: - das schnellste Wlan, das ich bis jetzt in Maspalomas hatte (Speedtest hat bis zum Anschlag angezeigt); perfekt um flüssig remote arbeiten zu können und Videocalls zu machen - das Fitnessstudio ist der Wahnsinn und für Hotelgäste kostenfrei (siehe "Stark Fitness Club") - am Pool gibt es ausschließlich bequeme Balibetten - Frühstück und Abendessen super abwechslungsreich und von sehr hoher Qualität (Brotauswahl wie in Deutschland mit Vollkornbrot usw). Das Abendbuffet kann man ggf. auch vor Ort noch für 25€ dazu buchen. - Badezimmer riesig und mit Doppelwaschbecken - am Nachttisch kann man zwischen mehreren Lichtstimmungen wählen und es gibt sehr gute Leseleuchten - Zimmer überdurchschnittlich groß - hinten raus zur Straße laut aber die Fenster sind komplett schallisoliert. Man hört gar nichts und die Klimaanlage ist sehr gut steuerbar - kostenloser Zimmersafe mit Innenbeleuchtung und groß genug für Notebooks - Wasserkocher, kostenloser Kaffee - sämtliches Personal macht einen glücklichen Eindruck und ist extrem freundlich usw. usw. usw.

Just returned from a week at Hotel Rondo, I was a little concerned having read some recent reviews about noise from next door, cold breakfast and a crowded restaurant etc however all these issues seemed to have been resolved as I experienced none of what had recently been commented on. We arrived early afternoon and our rooms were already ready for us which was great.After being checked in by a very friendly reception team and given a complimentary glass of bubbly, it was lovely to find the suites just as described.Very spacious and clean.My room was on the road side but as I don’t tend to use the balcony very much this was no issue for me. Breakfast was excellent, I had freshly cooked produce every morning, there was rarely a queue of more than a couple of people and the staff were very accommodating regarding your requirements.I can’t comment on evening meals as we were B&B. Re noise from the hotel next door, there was one day when it was noticeable for a few hours but certainly not that loud that it spoilt things. The bar in the hotel was relatively quiet and we tended to finish there every night for a chat with the bar staff and any other guests, special mention to Gian behind the bar who was super and a great credit to the hotel. My room was cleaned every day to a very high standard also so I have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

We arrived to a wonderful warm welcome at reception and given a glass of Cava. The hotel reception area is bright and airy and has undergone a refurbishment. We had a superior junior suite room which was a nice size and well appointed. There was ample wardrobe space with lots of hangers. There were no drawers in the room, but there were lots of shelves in the wardrobe area to put your clothes. The bathroom had a double sink and the shower was very good. The balconies are lovely and it was nice to sit out on. Our room was very well insulated and we didn’t hear any noise during the night. Slept well. The maid service was excellent and we received clean towels every day if we had used them. Our room was kept beautifully clean. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was ample and fresh. It never felt crowded. The egg chef in particular was so friendly and smiling and would prepare anything you asked for fresh. There was none of this lots of eggs and bacon and things laid out for hours like other hotels. Everything was cooked to your liking at the point of service. Great system and great breakfast experience. The best thing and the most important thing about this hotel is that it that it is very well run with a staff team that seem to enjoy being here. All of the staff without exception have been so friendly, welcoming and smiling making for the perfect stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for a sunshine break after Christmas for a week which included New Years. The hotel has been recently renovated and we had a junior suite on the first floor. The reception staff, and all staff are really welcoming and friendly. The hotel feels modern and clean. The reception and pool area are relaxing and chic. We were bed and breakfast. The morning food on offer was good, standard breakfast fair. There was an omelette station which did nice fried ham and cheese sandwiches. There were a couple of items missing (apple juice / hash browns) but the fact you could drink fizzy wine with your breakfast made up for that. The other plus was the timings. Breakfast was from 7:30 - 11:30 and no one was checking us in. So you could have had two sittings if you wanted. A nice bonus. The maid service was great. Our room had a balcony with lounges on which got the sun all afternoon. Rooms had fridge / TV and everything you would expect from a four star. The hotel was near the yumbo (5min walk) and lots of nice restaurants. Head away from the centre and near Burger King there were lovely Chinese and tapas restaurants. The only negative is the proximity to the Axel Beach hotel next door. This is a ‘vibe friendly’ hotel. On both Saturday and Sunday they had a DJ from 12-6. The decks were adjacent to the pool area at this hotel. The music was horrendously loud. Noise cancelling headphones could not block it out. I couldn’t read or listen to my podcast. Even inside with the doors shut you could hear it. Now I am no prude or party pooper but this was club music with an ear splitting beat which isn’t nice for relaxing in the afternoons. I complained to reception (as half the hotel did) but they said as it was day noise they couldn’t do anything. I feel bad writing this as it’s not this hotels fault, but it did ruin two pool afternoons of a 7 day holiday so I have to mention it. We did shopping a Mogan Mall and visited the Dunes but other than that we came to relax. I had a blast it was great to spend new year celebrating at the Yumbo. This hotel has lots to offer. But be prepared for weekend noise in the day time if you do book.

I don't know the old Rondo and therefore this review refers exclusively to the completely newly renovated new Rondo. I also find it difficult when people keep writing about how it used to be. The fact is that the hotel has arrived in the here and now and I couldn't imagine a nicer place to have a great holiday on Gran Canaria. As soon as you enter the lobby you are greeted by bright colors, natural materials and a modern freshness that always seems warm and welcoming. The tables with the large stones, the taut ropes, the open - always round shape - simply invites you. At reception we were greeted by two great employees with a delicious cava - Alisya and Melanie made sure with their smiles and infectious positive attitude that after some initial difficulties we got the perfect room for us - despite the hotel being almost fully booked. Thank you very much again for that. Even after that, the two of them, as well as all the other colleagues, were always there for us with help and advice. There is a free shuttle bus that goes to Playa del Ingles twice a day and once in the morning to Maspalomas. It is a large coach and since it starts its route at the hotel, we always got a seat. Then we went to breakfast the next morning and it really was a small sensation. We were greeted again with a great smile, this time from Pilar - who took exceptional care of my coffee needs. Again, a big thank you for the great, delicious latte macchiato. Then the incredible selection of high-quality local specialties at the breakfast buffet. Salami, Serrano ham, liver sausage, cooked ham, countless different types of cheese (cream cheese, Brie, hard cheese, Gouda and Emmental), freshly cut fruit, various types of sparkling wine, a large selection of bread and sweet pastries and so on. But the best thing was the egg station with Chef Rodrigo. He had everything under control at all times - even when there was a big rush, he didn't get hectic, but always prepared the requested dishes with lots of love and professionalism. You should definitely try the Tostada con Tomate. It is freshly roasted on the grill after you order it - simply delicious. Of course, the buffet also has ready-made fried eggs, bacon, beans, Spanish omelettes, etc. But the short wait is definitely worth it. There are plenty of representative photos of the hotel on their website, so I've only uploaded a few of the breakfast and the great view of the sunrise from our room. Next door in the large fitness studio you can also use the sauna - during the day there are delicious ice cream and snacks from stylish food trucks above the pool. The pool seems small, but there are 2 jacuzzis and the great loungers are really comfortable. The pool bar serves good cocktails until late in the evening and always a nice chat. The quiet rooms are lavishly large, modern and lovingly furnished. The large TVs can be easily connected to Airplay - so you can easily stream your favorite TV Shows or similar from your iPad to the TV. T
