Anna Studios

Just got back from the Anna studios last week. The room was clean and it had everything we needed. The cleaner came every day. The pool was nice and we never had a problem getting a sunbed. It was a 20 minute walk in to pythagorio. Would recommend this hotel.

Great value family run hotel. 20 minute flat walk into Pythagorio, pavement all the way, to the beautiful town and harbour This accommodation is clean and has a pool which is special for the area as nine of the Pythagoria hotels have one in the town. Staff have been crowned ly and helpful. No complains here although the self catering facilities are basic so you would struggle to prepare a cooked meal but eating out was our plan anyway. Pegasus taverna on way to Pythagoria on way to town was fantastic and reasonably priced. This is a budget hotel so manage you expectations and enjoy some Greek hospitality. Recommend a trip to the winery owned by Yannis best friend. Shout out to Jerry at the bar who was superb.

This was my 2nd visit to Anna's Studios, (2 weeks 26/7 to 9/8) was made to feel very welcome on arrival and pleased they remembered me from last year, offered a welcome drink then checked in and paying the room tax and air con fee which is standard practice. Had 6 bottles of water delivered to my room which saved me lugging it from the supermarket. Room very clean and tidy, kitchen setup was good 2 of everything. I had breakfast at the bar area every morning about 9.00 for the standard continental breakfast plenty available. Always managed to get a sun bed which is easier as a solo. The family and staff work extremely hard as the apartments are very busy with new arrivals and check out outs daily. It's an ideal location 10 minutes from airport and also near the beach, and it's flat, most people walked into Pythagoria, I took taxi 6€ well with it on the heat. Would I stay again, yes already going back for 2 weeks end September October. Thank you Yannis and Aspa for making me feel so welcome

Just finished a very nice, relaxing week with Yannis and his team. The studio was great with everything and more that you might want. The hairdryer was a bonus. Comfortable beds and decent size balcony for the two of us. The cleaners do an exceptional job, and we were cleaned and refreshed every day. The cleanliness extends to the bar, gardens and pool areas. Yannis provides inflatables for guests to use in the pool, and there is even a pool table, table tennis table and games for guests to use. Guests have left a growing library of books behind, so if you want to travel light, I'm sure you'll find your holiday read here. At the time of writing, the bar was home to 6 adorable little kittens, and their antics were always entertaining. The studios are located about a 15 minute walk out of town, and so are very tranquil. A supermarket is located 5 minutes away, and a taxi into town is €6. We took the bus to Samos town, which is €2.10 each way, and a taxi is €20. In all, a lovely holiday and we would definitely return to The Anna Studios when back on Samos.

Lovely Greek studios with great staff and owners and ideal location it would have been 5 stars but not enough done by the staff to stop some of the children monopolising the pool at times by "bombing" and chucking each other around splashing everybody and stopping others enjoying the pool NOT I hasten to add the owners children who were well behaved and kept under control by their parents. Having said all that we will definitely be going back.Yes you do get aircraft taking off from the nearby airport but its not constant and really just something different to watch!!

A great place to relax. Clean rooms. If you miss anything ask Yannis or Asper and they will fix it for you. The swimming pool is the eye catcher of the place. The staff behind the bar was always friendly and service-oriented, although we hardly made use of the bar. We will certainly visit Studios Annas again. Great experience

From the moment we arrived, this property gave us one of the worst hospitality experiences we have ever had. When we arrived for check-in, the first question we were asked was where we were from. After we answered that we were Turkish, the entire attitude of the staff changed immediately. Before learning our nationality, the interaction was normal. After that moment, we were treated with hostility, mockery and disrespect. Our questions were answered with sarcasm and an aggressive tone. We were repeatedly interrupted, not allowed to explain ourselves, and spoken to loudly in a way that made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Two physically imposing men repeatedly raised their voices at us and behaved aggressively, which was extremely intimidating as guests in a foreign country. We also had serious concerns about the behaviour and condition of the staff member who handled our check-in, as he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or another substance. His conduct was completely inappropriate for someone responsible for welcoming and assisting guests. The property is also extremely difficult to find. The entrance sign is not clearly visible from the main road, and finding the correct entrance required several attempts and a dangerous manoeuvre on a busy road. We only pointed this out as constructive feedback for future guests. Instead of responding professionally, the staff mocked us and treated us as if we were incapable of finding the property. The quality of the accommodation also does not justify the price charged. Compared with other places on the island, this property is extremely overpriced and absolutely not worth the money. The air conditioning system takes at least 15 minutes to start cooling the room properly. In addition, because the outdoor units of the air conditioners are placed towards the balconies, the balconies become extremely hot, making it uncomfortable to sit outside. During the night, the pool area was also a source of disturbance. Certain guests who appeared to be favoured by the staff were allowed to make excessive noise around the pool area late at night, without any apparent effort from the management to maintain a peaceful environment for other guests. During our stay, when we asked about smoking on the balcony, we received a dismissive response. When we asked where the air conditioning control was, the first response we received was simply "calm down." These responses were completely inappropriate and showed a lack of basic respect towards guests. After this experience, we no longer felt safe or comfortable staying at the property and requested to cancel our reservation. The management refused to refund our payment, leaving us financially tied to a place where we no longer felt welcome. The most concerning part of this experience is that the hostile treatment started immediately after the staff learned that we were Turkish. We cannot ignore this timing, and we believe we were treated differently because of our nat

Our third visit to Anna Studios and feel that our last visit was not as good as previous ones. The room with three beds was cramped, the crockery and glasses were barely adequate and cleaning was hit and miss. The gardens needed attention and agree with others the bar prices are higher than bars at the harbour. Forget ordering a cooked breakfast. Not worth the wait or price. Also to be greeted with the bill for air con, safe and taxes on arrival even before you get to your room doesn’t come across well. A lot of older couples are returning guests and perhaps they get treated differently. Who knows .

I really don't want to sound negative about this place because the owners were lovely but on arrival the 1st thing was a charge of €105 for 1 week for Resident tax, Air Con and safety deposit box which is quite extreme, don't get me wrong the Air Con is amazing and much needed, i email Jet2 3 times and said my wife suffers with anxiety and we needed a quiet room unfortunately our room was in the middle of the bar area and unless we sat or got changed with the curtains drawn everybody in the bar could see us all day and all night, we had to be aware of our surroundings at all times, my wife often got changed in the bathroom, the room can be easily accessed from the road day and night, the pool area is quite good but the bar is not cheap, 1 day i decided to have a few drinks by the pool because my wife was unwell but the lady behind the bar kept coming up to me to tell me i owed €12 which i knew but it really annoyed me and made me feel like a criminal even though i had €30 on me, don't bother going bed and breakfast as for breakfast you get toast, cereal and tea and coffee, if you want fruit which my wife love's you have to be quick as a new lady came halfway though our holiday and took all the fruit for herself so we decided to have a cooked breakfast which we wete craving that took 30mins and cost us €25 which when you are bed and breakfast is a joke, the rooms are basic nowhere to put clothes so we didn't unpack, the shower is basically useless but the beds are comfy but only 1 pillow and 2 single beds for a married couple of over 20 years is hilarious, the location is bad, whoever says its a 10 mins walk to the centre must be an athlete, i walk for work over 10 miles a day and i found it tough going in 30 degree heat, its a good 30 mins walk if your fit, but the road is mad, intermittent paving and we saw 2 car smashes in a week especially the turning to the potokaki beach so be aware if you walk down overall the owners are lovely the hotel is not great but if you want a cheap 2 star stay go for it but for anything else the 3 other hotels closer to Potokaki Beach would be a better fit
