Sim Boutique Hotel

I stayed at Sim Boutique Hotel in Phnom Penh for 8 days, and my experience turned out to be a very positive one, despite a rough start. Initially, I was a little disappointed with the corner room I was given on the 4th floor. The noise from outside—especially from the school opposite, along with the constant street activity and voices from nearby buildings—made my first two nights quite uncomfortable. I had requested a quiet room prior to check-in, but was informed that the room category I booked was located on the lower floors. However, I truly appreciate how quickly and professionally the hotel responded to my concerns. They promptly upgraded me to a larger room on a higher floor, which was much quieter and offered a lovely city view. From that point on, my stay improved tremendously. I really enjoyed the rooftop pool—while it’s not very big, it’s perfect for a refreshing dip in Cambodia’s heat. The rooftop bar was definitely a highlight for me. The views are incredible, the music creates a great atmosphere, and the live singers were genuinely impressive. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with easy access to many places around the city. If the weather gets too hot or you’re feeling tired, it’s simple to hop on a tuk-tuk or Grab. Overall, I’m grateful for the hotel’s attentiveness and willingness to make things right. Their service made all the difference. I would definitely recommend Sim Boutique Hotel for a comfortable stay in Phnom Penh, and I look forward to staying there again on my next visit.

Good breakfast. Pool burned the eyes. Busy area, didn’t really enjoy the city. The worst part is they wouldn’t refund me when I wanted to leave the hotel…

Nice hotel with affordable price. The pool water had a strange taste. My eyes were very sore.

Pros: Staff is really nice, welcoming and helpful. They let me in the room before check in time. My room was pre-cooled, when I entered the AC was working. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices, western and aisian. Food on the rooftop restaurant is also good. Views are nice. Cons: This is not, by any means 4* hotel. Sheets and pillow cases had stains and dirt on them, they give you 4 pillows but I couldn't find one that is clean. I put my own beach towels on the bed and slept on them. I've been to much cheaper places throughout Asia that were modest but really clean. The pool is small and shalow, they have only 4 sun lounges for 17 story hotel and they do not provide pool towel, you have to bring one from your bathroom. They are playing inappropriate and very loud music at the pool. And the worst thing is that they gave me a room on the second floor, right in front of construction site in the building next to it, without any information or warning. They didn't even provide earplugs. Works are done from 8am during all day and it is unbearable to be in the room, and there is no enough space at the pool and the music is also loud. This is unacceptable for a 4* hotel. I am not sure for what did I pay that ridiculously high price. I feel they should pay me for staying there. I do not recommend this place. There are a lot of cheaper and better places, and most importantly cleaner.

The room was massive and nice. Super good view. The pool and rooftop bar were also great. Chilled without the massive hotel vibe. I would stay again.

The room was amazing, clean and big. The reception staff was brilliant. How ever we ran into a problem with one member of staff who was rude ( gave us dirty looks ) after we complained about our food order been wrong. We sent the same meal back 5 times after it was wrong. This was not a language barrier either because we translated it for said person. We told the manager who never got back to us. Other than that problem, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Good hotel for a two night stay. Very comfortable room and good breakfast. Well located close to major attractions.
