Viva Miches by Wyndham, a Trademark All Inclusive Resort

Check in was seamless. The animation group including Erick,Elvis, Genesis absolutely the whole team are very well trained, each love what they do from Body Blade exercise on the beach, water aerobics, dance classes the evening shows etc. The buffet, the individual restaurants the beach restaurant- the food is excellent, the service excellent. Every bar is great as are the bar stuff. This is a resort that has the tourists first. Meticulously maintained We will be back!

I stayed at Viva Miches by Wyndham in the Dominican Republic on February 7-13, 2025, and my experience was an absolute nightmare due to the resort’s negligence and lack of proper management. On the second day of my vacation, I suffered a serious accident by slipping on a wet floor in hallway that was left unattended with no warning signs. As a result, I had to be rushed to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with multiple fractures in my right arm. Instead of enjoying my trip, I spent the rest of my vacation in pain. My entire vacation was completely ruined. To make matters even worse, the resort was not even fully ready for guests. Large parts of the site were still under construction, creating a chaotic and unfinished environment. Our plunge pool didn’t work properly, the rooms were missing basic amenities like body cream and tissues, and overall, it felt like we were staying at a half-opened, unprepared property. What shocked me the most was the resort’s complete lack of accountability. Even after my injury, the management didn’t bother to offer an official apology or any form of compensation. Their attitude was completely indifferent. A resort of this caliber should prioritize guest safety and ensure that it is fully operational before accepting bookings. Instead, their negligence led to my severe injury, costly medical expenses, and a ruined vacation. If you value your safety, comfort, and a properly functioning resort, avoid this place at all costs. No vacation is worth risking your well-being due to their carelessness and lack of preparedness. Regards, Regina

We purchased a package to go to what was advertised as a 5 star back in September. We later learnt that the pics were computer generated. Fair enough as the hotel was not to open until December. Knowing it was new it would have growing issues when we arrived. We ignored what we were reading, wanted to go and enjoy it! Our flight was delayed by 13 hours due to weather. We contacted the hotel to share this information. The individual at the hotel saw our reservation and stated that when we arrived we would get equivalent. We arrived and that wasn’t the situation. We were given a down grade in bed , view and decor. The beach is amazing! Long walks, untouched jungle, mountains in the background and a warm ocean. Great non motorized sports, and the staff running it were fantastic! Hotel staff were trying their best and working hard. As anywhere there are a few who give attitude. So much as making statements that don’t show great customer service. One particular individual behind the desk. I won’t mention his name and at this time . He gave us attitude about the room and came out making accusations in our conversation. Next day getting change for pesos again gave attitude. I thought at first something must be going on in his world, but his attitude continued. Entertainment group were fantastic! They put on great shows and worked everywhere. A la carte were average. The buffet just basic. This changed when a large group came. In fact this group had half of the buffet reserved and staffed heavily for this group. Which wasn’t full! Some individuals from that group stayed in the area that was for viva members (reserved seating) and remaining to those that were not part of either group. I watched a manager relay to a couple as I was eating , that if there was no seats for them( that weren’t mark )to come back later. I FOUND this UNACCEPTABLE because there were so many empty seats in the marked areas. Housing keeping was good. There just seemed to be a daily request from ourselves for face cloths. Request s were put in at the front desk daily. It took the third day to get the face cloths, thanks to a young man behind the desk that third evening! If you choose to book here I would suggest that you inquire to whether there will be large groups staying there at the time you are going. When there were not large groups there , it was pleasant. When the large group came, everyone else was ignored. We experience this every where on the resort. Front desk as an example told us not now when we inquired for change and jumped right into assisting members from this group as an example! ( they were given change).

Alexander Beltran was the most professional resteraunt manager that we have ever met. Such a great man, we miss him already! We are going back there again in December. Everyone there was so kind, helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Under Alexander’s leadership, there were some very special people that made our time there, perfect. Julio, Ronnie, Andi, Carlos, and Germania. They were excellent! The shows were great, the food and our stay there couldn’t have been better. Rex and Simon in the gym were so helpful, and Rex’s performances in the entertainment, was outstanding. We loved our time there and will definitely return. Merina at customer service was extremely helpful as well!

This was our first time visiting a Viva hotel and were surprised by how much we all loved it. The resort is in a remote location near the town of Miches. The beach is stunning and the water amazing to swim. A few days there were gentle waves and kids were having fun on boogieboards. The hotel is new and was still being finished as we were there. There is a large number of Italian guests and a smaller number of French and Canadian. In some ways it's a little overbearingly Italian. But it made for superb pizza and pasta in the buffet. The a la carte restaurants are fine and will likely get better with time. The best a la carte was the Latin Fusion. The members rooms were spacious and centrally located. Everything you need to enjoy your stay. Shoutout to Karla and Alexandra who do an amazing job in guest services. These are star employees as are the animation team. Esther is the friendliest person you could wish to meet. Manuel, Jose and many other entertainers keep things lively and welcoming in an inclusive way. Zumba by the pool was a great thing that added to our experience. The staff were engaging and it's a good form of exercise that many people can participate in. The shows at night were a bit hit or miss, the two brothers performing the circus acts were very good and were very entertaining. Some of the other acts definitely needed to be rehearsed a bit more, specifically some of the dance choreography and singing. Another thing to check out is the discoteca after the show. It brings a nice lively energy if you're looking to make friends and dance! Another staff member who made our time special because of his kindness was Wilfredo. He is such a happy guy who genuinely wants you to have the best time. Congratulations to all the Viva team. You won our respect with your beautiful hotel, stunning location, decor and the friendliest people. We will be back real soon!

What an absolute pleasure to be here! One of the best vacations I ever took! Resort is new and nice although not everything is complete. Food at the buffet is good quality. I didn't try the specialty restaurants. I also like that there is not loud music at the pool, activities from time to time but, if you like hearing the waves, you'll be able to just do that. The beach is amazingly spectacular. So nice to walk to the local town of Miches (50 minutes through the beach). The only disappointment is probably with the bathroom: no cotton ball, no tissue, no body lotion...It is not a big deal but still important in my opinion. And there is no paper and pen in the room, you know those little things you expect sometimes. The highlight of this resort is the staff and their generosity in making you feel so special! 1) Housekeeping; wonderful people, always smiling and here to help 2) Guest services and reception: kudos to Jennifer, Melina, Carla, Aldo, Axel, Miguel...well all of them actually. 3) The sports team: Daniel is so professional and listens to your needs. He is there to make your vacation one of a kind, always helping out. Simon at the gym is just a wonderful man full of empathy. He is knowledgeable. The gym btw is wonderful. Never seen such a big gym in other resorts :) I went on the catamaran with Sergio (yes you can do all these water activities FREE!) This young man was just an amazing guide. 4) The ladies at the Spa: Ana, Karina, Gladys....genuinely wonderful ladies. I believe one of the key elements that makes the success of a company is the presence of management. And believe me, you see the director around, Madame Barbara, you see the chef around, you can speak to these people, they are available for you, ask anything you need, they WILL try to help. I am still here for a few more days. I will give another review soon. Come here, you won't be disappointed :)
