Mareva Apartments

Fantastic, stayed in room 201. Very clean, Yanis very honest and recommended not taking A/C as the room is cool. (May/June). Basic accommodation but completely adequate. We could not fault the service of the staff. Very clean, staff very friendly. Highly recommended and would return 😊

They ask for €8 per day for the air conditioning. It was lacking in cleanliness. Sheets with stains, towels had holes and a dirty kitchen. Also, the room is very humid. Come prepared because there is no hand soap or shampoo.

Fantastic stay!

Firstly it's 2 star. The room we had was very basic, two beds, Bed settee, small but useful wardrobe and dresser, a little kitchenette, don't plan on cooking huge meals, bathroom small, but all very clean. The beds were comfortable. We had a ground floor apartment very close to the bar area, but we couldn't hear any noise at night. The first floor apartments have large balconies over looking the pool and unspoiled views down to the sea. The hotel was in the middle of New Hersonissos and Old Hersonissos both in easy walking distance, roads leading in both directions are well lit. The apartments has free access to a pool which is kept extremely clean, bar area is very clean and welcoming, there's a poolside toilet which is also very clean and an outdoor shower for you to use after being in the pool, Sun loungers are available and free to use. It's a family run business with the wonderful and friendly Yannis, who always welcomed you if he saw you and would often sit and chat with you in between his many jobs that keep this place ticking over without any problems. It is room only don't expect tea and coffee and buy extra toilet rolls as only one is given, towels and bedding are changed every few days but the bins are changed every day to be supplied but local shops are close by. Air Con is extra €9 a day, but we didn't require it. We also found the other people staying to very friendly and welcoming, we often had drinks with them and a long fun chats. We will definitely return one day. Again, Yannis goes out of his way to make your stay as comfortable as it can be.

For the price it was exactly what we expected. The room is clean and comfy beds. Near from every restaurants but far enough to be in a quiet environment. No WiFi in the rooms. The family owner are very lovely and make you feel at home from the minute you arrive.

Perfect for us, the location was absolutely ideal, not too far away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip and not too far away from old Hersonisis. Atmosphere at the hotel is warm and welcoming, people seem to come year after year which is very telling. The rooms are what you’d expect for a two star, but to be fair I’ve stayed in four star with rooms at the same standard. So not sure it deserves just two stars. Value for money! Absolutely 💯 We are definitely going again and would absolutely recommend it to our friends

I travelled solo for the first time (decompressing), I wanted somewhere with atmosphere but also somewhere quiet (to write). First time here : it is a 2 star, so don’t go expecting luxury BUT everywhere is very clean, breakfasts are brilliant, beds are super comfy and all the staff very welcoming. I met a few couples who have been visiting for years. Great location too. I was inspired to write the poem below - I just had to capture the essence of Mareva ! I hope you see it on the pinboard at the bar if you visit !

Our first visit to Mareva after reading other reviews and we loved it. Went with my wife and 12 year old daughter. Don't get me wrong it is relatively basic but it is clean, comfortable and in a great location with all the required amenities. Shout out to Yiannis and his family and staff who were very engaging and were more than willing to help with any of our queries. Great stay and great value. We will be going back!

⭐ Another fantastic stay! ⭐ This was our second time coming back, and once again we had a fantastic holiday! We absolutely love the family atmosphere here. It was lovely to see so many of the same families we met last year, which really makes it feel like one big holiday community. The children have made some great holiday friends and have had an amazing time making memories together. The staff are brilliant — so friendly, welcoming and always make you feel like part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble, and their friendly attitude really makes the whole experience special. We’ve had another fantastic stay and can’t thank everyone enough. We’ll definitely be back again! 🌞 Thank Yannas and family 🙂
