The only plus was the extremely nice young lady on the reception who moved our room. Filthy and dated rooms, pointless kitchen( which we never asked for) included a sink with no taps, an extractor hood with no cooker, burnt and scorched plug sockets, substandard cleaning…. I could go on but it’s to depressing . The area was great and we booked because we normally stay at casa blu which is up the road. Great bars, tavernas etc.

We stayed in a Junior suite room , room 15. The room was very nice, spacious, modern, great shower and lots of plug sockets. There was any extra cost for air conditioning of 10 euros per day and 2 euros a day for the safe. The breakfast had a good variety but, cereal, salad, fruit, yogurt, bread, rolls, cake and fried eggs, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms. They did have some small sausages and fried ham but this might not be to everyone’s taste if you like traditional English breakfast. There were two small pools with lots of space and lots of sun loungers. No rush to get a sun bed. The grounds were nice with some nice greenery. The bar was good and Staff were very friendly. Prices were reasonable. 4 euros for a glass of local wine. Location was perfect and centraly located near restaurants and shops. The area is fiat and Piskopiano is around 10 minutes stroll away. Lots of lovely restaurants in the two villages and some nice bars. People are lovely and friendly and there was a mixture of ages at the hotel.

Absolutely lovely stay for 3 weeks in one of our favourite places. We stayed in room 25 and the room was lovely, a lovely view of the bottom pool and the sea. Room extra clean and comfortable. Both Manos’s at the pool bar and top bar deserve an extra mention as they made our holiday experience even better just by their happy welcome each day. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices to suit everyone. Would definitely recommend and we would definitely book to return again.

Just back from a week here. We booked as reviews were good. The accommodation is looking a bit dated and warn. There was no tap in our sink in kitchen, so only way to access water was from bathroom sink. When we arrived the young lad on reception could not help with cases we were told as he had a bad arm? So we struggled a bit navigating a lot of steps to roomas my husband has carpal tunnel in both hands. On first morning after showering I noticed a cockroach 🪳 on my husbands bed and cockroach poo! We went to reception and the older lady who seemed to be in charge refused to move us making out that she couldn’t understand us and there were no rooms available. She did however offer to spray our room leaving our belongings in it and expecting us to to still use the room. I explained my husband has respiratory issues and still no offer of room change. We then felt we had to call Tui our tour operator who the lady on reception again said she had no contact numbers for. After a call to home with Georgia who followed up with an email we were then offered another room after an hour or so. We were then shown to another room to check we were happy with it. The whole situation left us frustrated and ignored even with very legitimate complaint on our much look forward to holiday. Breakfast was ok toast cake fruit yoghurt fried food croissant juice tea and or coffee buffet style. Manos and cleaning ladies are lovely and do a good job. Unfortunately I was ill and needed a Dr and whilst awaiting the taxi was asked at reception if we’d like to change rooms as they needed ours the next day! We weren’t due to leave room until 11 next day and were being asked to move at teatime Saturday when I was very poorly. So no concern really for poorly customer just thinking of convenience for them. We moved next morning to room underneath our original. We’ve stayed in Piskapiano and Koutouloufari for 10 years and Elounda for 2 years before that. Sadly this is the worst customer care we’ve experienced and the first cockroach. Unfortunately where there is one cockroach there are others. Sorry Astra you fell down and we won’t be returning ever.

We’ve just come back from staying a week here! Wow what an amazing place and location!! We had BB, it’s continental with a good selection. We stayed in room 93, yes it’s basic but very clean and was cleaned every day! We had one issue, our drain in the bathroom flooded the floor on the first night of having a shower! Went to reception the next morning, and within 2hrs it was fixed and sorted! The staff are lovely, food and drinks at the pool bar were good! Pool area nice and chilled. The Astra is situated in the perfect spot really, near to all restaurant and bars but not in a noisy place! The only thing I’d say is walk either way to another supermarket rather than the one across the road, it’s a bit dearer and can charge different depending on who’s serving! All in all fantastic holiday and will be going back

Fantastic location. Very quiet. Rooms are basic but very clean. Only negative would be get rid of the shower curtain and have a show cubicle. Breakfast has everything you need. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. Staff are lovely. Would 100% recommend this hotel. Good value for money.

Do not stay here under any circumstances please see picture of room below. I’ve asked three days to move rooms and been told no because they are fully booked. There is ants everywhere in our room. Our room is also been noted to be the worst room on resort and still nothing has been done. We paid for a Seaview which we haven’t got. I have complained to the travel company for also looking into the matter. We have an all of the balcony. We don’t even have windows for ventilation in the apartment

The hotel is in a perfect location for the villages. Our room was quite dated and could do with some modernisation. The air con was good, but you do need to pay 7 euro's a day to use. The hot water went off twice, but they fixed quickly. We overlooked the sea and the rooms were super quiet. Staff really friendly. Breakfast was basic. Never had an issue getting a bed, they had two small pools and both nice. Would I stay here again, yes I probably would but would look to see if there are updated rooms. The location wins it every time for me. It did however have quite a few steps so anyone with mobility issues may struggle with some of the rooms (like the one we were in) but others would be fine
