"What more can I say... it sounds more exciting at first than it actually is. It's a typical hipster hotel: everything cool, everything casual, but not very practical, and even less professional! Getting from the ground floor to your room is always a trek, and the numerous uninspired construction fences and red-white-red plastic barrier tapes make you feel like you're walking through a construction site. The rooms are modern, but impractical and cold. In our suite, we couldn't even crack a window open for ventilation, there was no shelf on my side of the bed for my phone and other belongings, the bathroom was tiny for a suite with no storage space, the oversized TV blocked the view of what would otherwise be a great view, and so on. In short: you can do it once, but you don't have to. There are better hotels in the area, more practical, and cheaper to boot."

"The room was fine (park side). The elevator always felt full. Advertise with a rich breakfast buffet. The things that are there are not labeled, I have no idea what the 5 things in the bowls are. But apart from that a very boring breakfast. Cheese, 3 types of sausage, 5 grain rolls between 100 normal ones, 4 jams but I have no idea which ones. It's similar with quark, I would say more if I knew what exactly it was."

"A simple guesthouse, but the owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating! I've rarely seen such a wonderful host. He takes such good care of you, and even though the guesthouse is very basic, I would always choose to stay here again when I come to Hamburg. Amenities: 3/10, Service: 12/10!"

Studio Feuerfest - Loft & Design Hotel

"Convenient location, but at what cost? Studio Feuerfest offers easy access to Hamburg's airport and city center, but this comes with a hefty price tag - your peace and sleep. Unbeknownst to guests upon booking, many rooms - mine included - directly face bustling train tracks. This critical detail, conspicuously absent from their website and booking information, transforms your stay into a sleepless ordeal. The relentless rumble of passenger and freight trains creates an inescapable cacophony. Management's initial response to complaints was alarmingly dismissive. Their solution? Directing guests to purchase earplugs from an in-house vending machine. More disturbingly, they offered a full refund, knowing full well that a major event (Taylor Swift concert) had left no alternative accommodations in Hamburg - a thinly veiled attempt to absolve themselves while potentially leaving guests stranded. After persistent advocacy, management finally acknowledged the unbearable noise and offered a modest refund. While this gesture was appreciated, it couldn't compensate for lost sleep and a ruined stay. The hotel's lack of transparency regarding noise issues affecting a significant portion of rooms is deeply concerning. Light sleepers, consider yourselves warned. If you do choose to stay, insist unequivocally on a room far from the tracks. Your rest - and overall experience - depends on it. Otherwise, count on zero sleep!"
