There was a huge trash dumpster not far away rom the front door of the hotel. And next to the dumpster a blue tent like store or temporary storage structure was sort of blocking the street to the hotel. All of these mess really set this hotel in a bad appearance. Otherwise I like the location of the hotel, it’s close to shopping place, to restaurants and subways. And the front desk staff was very helpful to us first time visitors to Dalian."

"Really very disappointed! This is the first time I stayed in such a bad hotel. I have been to many places with my children in the past few years, and I have stayed in many hotels. I have never seen such a hotel. The price is seriously inconsistent with the actual situation. The room of more than 2,000 is not as good as the room of several hundred yuan in other places. The room is super depressing as soon as you enter, and there is a smell. The layout is not good. Anyway, I feel uncomfortable anyway. Then there was a dripping sound outside. The water was hot and cold when taking a shower. In the morning, there was a bang downstairs. The sound of the person delivering the linen was also very loud. He stopped under the window and pulled the linen, and was woken up! I was speechless. I checked in at 10 o'clock the night before, and checked out quickly after breakfast the next morning and went straight to another hotel. I really think this room is not worth it. I don’t know if all the rooms are like this or just this one. I will never go there again. The attitude of the service staff is still good. They kept apologizing, but they couldn’t make up for the ruined mood. The child kept crying inside! Oh! After breakfast, we went upstairs to pack our luggage. The waiter was cleaning, and a half-filled water bottle flew out of the bedroom and was thrown on the floor. It was so rude! My mentality was broken! I didn't take any photos because I was not in the mood. I didn't even take a photo of the sea view! The lowest score is 0.5. I want to give it 0 points. I don't know how to compare!"

"Booked 2 rooms on a higher floor to enjoy the city views. Unfortunately there was a noticeable toilet smell in both rooms. Reporting this to the hotel staff we were allocated alternative rooms. They still had a smell but it was less pungent than the others. Having stayed at this hotel a few years ago, its showing signs of tiredness in fixtures, fittings and facilities. We were told the hotel will be refurbished in the year ahead. Breakfast buffet is good with a wide selection of western and Asian cuisines. It gets busy, especially at the weekend. There is a decent sized pool though the changing rooms are in need of refurbishment to bring it up to the standard of other 5 star properties in the city. Room rates are currently low to reflect the hotels current situation, as told by a manager when the room smell was reported. Still a great stay thanks to its location and breakfast offering and the room rates. Look forward to its refurbishment in the future."

The decorations reminded me of things I’ve seen in Morocco – truly beautiful. The food was good, the bed was super comfortable, and the vintage details in the rooms are consistent with the rest of the hotel – same lovely style throughout. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves character, warmth, and great service."

"This hotel truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly well taken care of. The front desk staff were not only quick with check-in but also thoughtfully upgraded my room and offered a warm towel and welcome tea – a warm gesture I still remember fondly. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was soft and dry, ensuring I had a great night's sleep. What surprised me most were the bedside wireless charging and three lighting modes, and even the curtains were electric – attention to detail was evident everywhere. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the toiletries were an herbal fragrance brand, and the shower water pressure was just right, washing away the day's fatigue. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Not only was there a rich selection of Chinese and Western dishes, but the freshly cooked beef noodles and handmade wontons tasted authentic, and they even offered eggs cooked sunny-side up or over easy. The servers remembered each guest's coffee preferences, which was a lovely touch. Upon checkout, I was even given homemade cookies as a parting gift. With such service and quality, the value for money is exceptional. Next time I'm in this city, this will definitely be my first choice. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality!"

Overall, it was a good stay."
