Pestana Cayo Coco Beach Resort

No working toilets no hot water no extra pillows or towels. No toilet paper. Rooms had bugs on counters ac didn't work and was off wall. All the public washrooms are locked until 5 minutes before any events occurring and have no seats or toiletpaper. Several guests had there safes drilled open and everything stolen. The patio doors have either no locks or broken locks even on first floor. The bedding smelled like mold or fungus even after i asked it be changed. The 24 hr snack bar menu has maybe 12 items total which are never available (servers say not today every day) no coke for drinks only orange fanta. No vodka. Nothing but rum in all bars. Food is the exact same for lunch and dinner. Pools are freezing cold all day. No room phones are working they said it is all rooms. The only activity in the pools from 9-6 was 10am water exercises. The showerhead hose was 12 inches long and came out at the tub so you cant even wash sitting in the tub. I had to sit in the room for 3 hrs waiting for plumber who never came. Tv and remote didn't work. The last day topped it off. There was a delay in flight and I was told this by airline app so went to lobby for latest updated pickup and 1 hr after pu time no bus came. Got another delay. I went to front desk to find out new pu time they said they did not get any call or email that the pu time has changed so they couldn't help me. After getting on the bus 2.5 hrs after original time everyone on the bus said there hotels told them they were informed of a change and new pu time. The front desk staff just stand there on their personal phones texting all day instead of checking important updates being emailed and dont answer the phones. They cut my wifi off when I checked out at 12pm. I had to pay to add more wifi. I sat in the lobby from 630pm till 1056pm with no help. They refused to call the airpot to get an update.I felt like I was stranded in the hotel from hell.

I enjoyed my visit here at Playa Paraiso ☀️🌴🇨🇺🌊. I thought the rooms were a great size the rooms were clean and the food was great. Fresh fish and plantain fresh fruits and seafood was all delicious The staff were all friendly and Cubans are such beautiful people. I loved my time there and would recommend both the resort and flying with Air Canada as family who were supposed to arrive with Sunwing had their flight cancelled last minute That was the only bad thing about that trip is that our family wasn’t able to arrive.

It’s my second time in this place and I’m so happy. All the staff is amazing, food is good, we never did get sick, rooms are beautiful and clean. George in lobby bar is amazing. Thanks to the invitation to the Special dinner for repeat guest was amazing. Annlys did a nice job as always, she is a professional lady. The chef -Raime and the others cooked delicious. I recommend this hotel and I will come back for sure.
