Villa Royal

Began with a 75yr and 65 yr women having to carry our suitcases up 2 and a half flight of stairs, Rooms were supposed to be cleaned in the week we stayed, had to ask for a hoover and cleaning products to clean the bathroom and bedroom. Dirty marks in the bathroom when we 1st arrived still there the day we left. Promised they would be done they weren't. Would not recommend it tui downgraded it from a 4 star down to 3 star but l would say it was a 2 star at the best.

We ended up staying at Villa Royal after our flight home was cancelled. We stayed for 2 days. Clean room, comfortable bed, great shower and you have a balcony to sit outside and dry your clothes. You'll need to bring your own shampoo and body wash for the shower. Maria at the front desk was so helpful and Ivana made a lovely breakfast every morning.

I had a great stay here at the start of July. Mirko and the girls were lovely. Nice breakfast and amazing view from room 205 . I would love to return on September but my dates are sold out

Villa Royal is located near the sea, in a small peaceful place Cavtat close to Dubrovnik airport. Within walking distance you will find many restaurants , supermarket, drugstore and beautiful views. Hotel is very clean. Hospitality of its stuff is above any expectations. They will make you feel like you’re at home! Special thanks to Mirko and Irina for hospitality ❤️

If you choose Cavtat for your summer holidays, best thing you could do is stay at Villa Royal. The Vila is very clean, comfy and nice rooms, some of them have sea view. But the star of the show is definitly host, Mirko who makes you feel like home !

A belated review of this little gem of a hotel. We were very pleasantly taken with Villa Royal which is located in a quiet area, albeit a short walk uphill. The hotel owner and his staff are very accommodating and friendly, going out of their way to help with anything. The rooms are simple but have all the necessary facilities- very comfortable bed, good shower/ bathroom, air conditioning. It is on the airport flight path but this did not worry us because we appreciated the quick transfer between the hotel and airport. Breakfast is plentiful. We would recommend Villa Royal as a good 3* hotel in Cavtat.

I stayed at Villa Royal for a week in early July. Villa Royal is owned by Mirko, he’s a really friendly & helpful person. When I arrived he asked me if I’d like a coffee, He then gave me a map of Cavtat & explained where things were & answered some questions that I had. When I arrived I was a guest, but I can honestly say that when I left I felt like a friend of Mirko & Irina. An extensive continental buffet breakfast plus scrambled eggs is provided that is kept replenished by Irina, who always has a smile & is also helpful to guests. Each morning when coming in for breakfast you are greeted by a genuine & friendly “Good Morning” from Mirko & Irina. My room was clean, with a comfortable bed, efficient air conditioning & a balcony with great views. Villa Royal is a short walk into Cavtat, which is a lovely town & an ideal location for a day trip to Dubrovnik. There are some good walks along the coast & into the hills. But if you do the Ronald Brown Hike it is a long steep hike, take plenty of water & there are no signs, but the scenery & views are amazing. If I return to Cavtat I will definitely stay at Villa Royal.

We have recently come back from a week in Cavtat. Villa royal was perfect for our stay. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. Breakfast was continental with addition of scrambled egg. If you need any help with places to visit and getting around Cavtat just ask at reception. It's a short walk down to the town where you find ample restaurants and bars and shops. There are 2 supermarkets ( smaller of the 2 is closed on Sunday) There is a bank and Atms located in the town near to the bus station. The beach is pebble so remember to take beach shoes with you. Cavtat is beautiful and we will definitely return.
