Sol Katmandu Park & Resort

Great family hotel. We only had breakfast at the hotel, great food and variety. The pool and slide area was good, but since it was beginning of april and the water was cold, my child used it minimally. The other areas of the hotel was absolutely amazing! Lots of turtles and fishes in ponds outside, with a fish feeding vending machine! One of my favorite avtivites during the trip for my 7y. The upside down house was a hit. Probably visited 7-8 times in 2 days. Great softplay area. Very fun 6xD movies. Probably saw 10times different short films. Short walk to the beach. Great food and small shops/supermarket across the street. Good restaurants close by. Ate at the blackbeard restaurant 5min walk, amazing food! Perfect family hotell only downside we experienced was the noise from the hallway. Up/down/neighbour rooms was no sounds. But throu the door into the hallway it felt like there was no door, and some kids came running in the corridor late at night.

Review 2 - The food here is diabolical. I was absolutely ill for 2 as and missed my flight home. The claimed turkey breast one night while there was a red undercooked meat on the grill. Another night we received a chicken burger and it was pink through (see the picture) Additionally most mornings the breakfast sausages were actually hotdogs, I've never been anywhere in the world a breakfast sausage is a hotdog...even in Germany they still have breakfast sausages. Secondly, one of our party were gluten free, the first 2 days were great we could self serve gluten free bread and toast. From day 3 the gluten free stuff was hidden away and the toaster gone. I then had to get a staff member to toast and that took around 20 minutes...20 minutes standing there waiting for gluten free toast. It grew tiresome very quickly. Even when pre-ordering breakfast still took 15 minutes to arrive at the table. Last night I ordered my sausages and toast etc for 08AM. When I arrived they confirmed they had my order and then I waited exactly 16 minutes for it to be prepared. How difficult can it be to prepare gluten free toast when they already have a separate toaster... The food is really letting your entire hotel down.

1000/10 such an amazing, family friendly, clean hotel! The staff are amazing, the facilities are incredible and the food is great. We visited with our nealry 3 year old and he had the best time. There's so much to do and the theme park is ideal for younger kids. Only 1 ride he couldn't do. Soft play is amazing. The evening entertainment is brilliant and the range of food available all day is amazing. Beach is in walking distance and the area is great. Yes it's full of partying holiday makers but they're all very respectful and we didn't hear much noise at night. Can't recommend it enough for a family holiday.

We stayed in a family room (two balconies) as a family of four in in the first week of May 2025. We enjoyed pleasant weather (but chilly evenings) and the splash park was open, but the externally run trampolines were not active. The hotel offers plenty of activities for families, although sadly my kids (9 and 7 years old) were not always engaging (refusing to join the 'too childish' kids club and on-stage disco, being bored in the main pool, and not liking the soft play). Most of the visitors were families, but unfortunately some English and Irish families were rather 'rough around the edges', sweary, and at some point, having a fist fight in the middle of the night in the hallway. None of that is the hotel's fault. Anyway. Here is what's great about the hotel: - Plenty of staff, swimming pool is cleaned every morning, rooms cleaned daily. - May was a nice time to visit as it was relatively quiet, we never had to queue for anything. - The splash park is lovely (even if my kids were bored with it quite quickly) just like the golf, 4D theatre, and upside down house. - The food is actually excellent! Plenty of variety, fresh fruits and vegetables, grilled meats and fish. There is a different theme every night (so one or two 'stations' will be dedicated to Chinese/Italian/Mexican etc food) - Generous alcohol servings for those that like it, and drinks including some cocktails and G&Ts. Sangria, wine and beer on tap. - Free wifi everywhere in the building (not super fast, but certainly workable) - Terrapins! - The hotel is super close to a nice beach, and beach towels are provided. And this has room for improvement: - The snacks in the pool bar looked dodgy (cheese and meats being left out in the heat) and didn't change much (hot dogs/burgers/bacon). - We didn't understand the 'lore' (story) of the place - my kids found the big-eyed stuffed animal creature creepy. I believe it was explained on the television but we never quite started it at the right time. It would have been nice to have a booklet at the start to explain to them what was going on. - I am not sure what age range would be best for this hotel. As said, my kids were bored quickly, yet they were too young to be 'left to roam'. They perceived the rooms as too childish. - The ice cream in the dining hall is ...strange. Not quite ice cream, some sort of substitute. - The coffee machine was switched off in the dining hall during lunch and dinner. I like having a coffee with dessert, so this was a disappointment (technically I could have walked out and gone to the pool/bar area to get a coffee and walk back, but that's inconvenient). - The inside bar area (with the 'stage') is really poorly designed; lots of room for improvement to create a cosy, beach hut like environment. There are some pool tables isolated to the far end of the space. I feel that with some simple improvements (plants, wall dividers, better lighting) this could be a more inviting space. - The 'laser quest' hut or wha

First family holiday, We went as a family of 6 2 teens, 2 adults, 2 small children under the age of 7 I also had a small children 6yr old with autism. Enjoyed our stay at the hotel, spent a lot of money buying snack - Aldi just across the road. Kids club is amazing massive shout out to danni and Clara! They was amazing! April is a very cold time of year- pool freezing, tiles really slippy so wear water shoes, ended up in a hospital due to a fall on the tiles with my little boy! Small bar area, not a lot of to do there. Not a lot of seats or space to watch the stage. No rules followed with people putting towels on sun bed and being removed. Lots of sun beds taken and no one actually there for the whole day - they don’t remove the towels Pros to the hotel : * clean and tidy * beautiful looking hotel * kids teams - can’t praise enough! They made This hotel amazing! * pool area clean * kids club! Amazing! * upside down house! Brilliant * can hire a pram ( recommend ) * close to shops and beach Cons of hotel : * food - was awful, repeative not enough variety, chefs miserable, can’t cope with the amount of people they have. * snacks awful… there isn’t any. * tokens system is the worst system * standard rooms small - nothing special * kids disco area is to small.. can’t accommodate the amount of people, not big enough and not enough space. * disappointed that can’t adapt well for children with additional needs. * nothing for birthday children * drinks basic * nightmare to contact hotel before arrival and will not help with children sleep situation, no free upgrade options Although the flaws, my children had a great time so we would return just not as all inclusive and a diffrent time of year

A clean, hotel but needs some upgrade in the standard rooms. Would not grade the hotel as 4* more of a 3* as we have been to plenty of 4* hotels in Spain for comparison. We were AI for our stay and the food was good...not always hot though. For a family orientated hotel it lacks enough outside space and has no play area or splash pool within the complex. You can go into Katmandu Park but during the height of season I imagine it would be packed and unbearable. All in all, we enjoyed our stay but will not return especially during the summer season as the resort would not cope with the numbers outside around the pool or within the one restaurant.
