Excellent all round, no complaints whatsoever. Great location, staff and hygiene standards. Room very good with balcony and air con. Uk tv channels, everything you could ask for.

Good location in the town

Muy mala experiencia – no cumplen lo que prometen Reservé una habitación en Hotel La Joya .me equivoque de dia , al minuto llame al hotel Un empleado llamado Jonathan, hable con el para cambiar la fecha me aseguró que era mejor la cancelaccion y que me devolverían el dinero. Sin embargo, ni me cancelaron la habitación ni me reembolsaron. He intentado comunicarme, pero no he recibido ninguna solución ni respuesta clara. Me siento engañado y robado , Una total falta de seriedad y compromiso con el cliente. No lo recomiendo, y dudo mucho que vuelva a considerar este lugar.

Hotel and staff fine, rooms fine 🙂 restaurant/dining experience on an evening we went in was horrendous 😫 the family/owners children were running round, very loud and unruly. We paid good hard earned money to book this holiday, it was bedlam, no control was applied regarding the children. This is not acceptable when people go to the restaurant for a nice quiet meal. Pool area was good, a bit unkempt, artificial grass was filthy 😳 in some areas and the umbrellas looked really shabby, also not enough sunbeds or umbrellas for shade during the hot season. The sunbed covers were very smelly and dirty, need to be waterproof covers not easy soak up sweat and water absorbent YUK. Food was acceptable and enough choice not to go hungry, bacon for breakfast very fatty, scrambled egg very powdery tasting, not that warm either, there was a microwave to warm food if desired.

Reasonable location. About a ten minutes walk to old town. My partner and I stayed for 10 days. Hotel is a little tired but is spotless and maids clean daily. Majority of staff are incredibly polite and courteous, though the outside bar could do with more stock space. They spent most of the time going back to the main bar to get stuff as they did t have it in the hit. These guys run about like mad. Pool is nice but the area around the pool needs to be updated. Majority of the beds and brollies are broken. Plus there is two daily struggle for beds that even with a rule to not save beds it's not enforced and unless you get there at 9am when they open you won't get a bed. We did bed and breakfast, breakfast was basic but reasonable quality. Didn't try the cooked breakfast but I looked ok.

Rooms clean, breakfast ok and staff good. Pool are ok but beds, cushions and parasols need replacing. The worst thing which personally I find intolerable is the smell of stale smoke everywhere, even outdoors. Smoking is permitted on the balconies and as a result the corridors smell of ashtrays. The outside bar area allows smoking too so smoke wafts over the pool 🤮. Also, people (British) reserve their beds first thing. It’s midday as I write this and more than half the beds have towels on them without a sign of any occupants. It’s annoying!

The pool area and bar were great, and one thing we really appreciated was that the pool gates didn’t open until 9am, giving everyone a fair chance to get a sunbed, especially as there aren’t many available. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside was the lack of a fridge, but the air conditioning worked well and kept the room cool. We travelled with our toddler and were initially a little concerned that a Benidorm hotel might be full of large groups of lads. However, because the hotel caters mainly for Spanish guests, there was a good mix of families and couples and 2 young groups of lads who were quite entertaining. The location was excellent, around a 10–15 minute walk to both the Old Town and New Town, so we really couldn’t fault it. We were self-catering, although we ordered lunch by the pool a couple of times and found the food to be below average. The hotel advertised a kids’ club disco from 4pm–7pm on Thursday and Friday, but in reality it was just one table with some crafts, so that was a little disappointing. Overall, we were genuinely sad to leave and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Joya as 2 british couples for a friend's 50th birthday. We mailed the hotel in advance asking for rooms next to each other and over looking the pool and that's what we were given which was great. Reception and bar staff were all really friendly. The pool area was lovely, very relaxing and all areas of the hotel were very clean. The breakfast was basic but enough, we would have preferred more English choices like sausage but understand we are in Spain and the hotel has a lot of Spanish guests. Location was good, near to old town and about 7 euros in a taxi back from new town after a night out. We would return to this hotel without hesitation. Enjoyed our stay very much.

When going abroad I like to read in depth reviews therefore I am going to do one in the hopes this will help someone wanting to stay. So firstly i'd like to say please remember this is a Spanish hotel so alot of the other holidayers are spanish coming for their holidays. Therefore the hotel is mainly catered for the Spanish but that being said there are some staff that can speak a bit of English and you can get around fine not being Spanish. End of the day your in Spain so dont expect everything to be english because let's face it your not in England. Shout out to the woman who works in the restaurant who helped me each morning with what to eat because I had a nut allergy, she was the best!. I only paid for breakfast and to be honest I dont think I would next time. I would go to find breakfast at one of the many restaurants around because there just wasn't alot of food that I liked. I would have cereal, toast and a croissant in the morning and maybe a sausage in a little baguette but I didn't personally like anything else. There is a set up of cold meats and then the Spanish version of a fry up available as well as fruit and many options for toast. The hotel was very clean! And the decor was nice. On one of the nights I had drinks in the downstairs bar and let's just say the pina coladas are strong and taste so fresh and at €8 you can't go wrong. The pool area is set up great. Plenty of beds to choose from and there is also a little snack shack you can get drinks and bits from. However the pool isn't heated in the slightest so the one time I did go in there I was very very cold. Also there is music playing around the pool. It was highly annoying though as it would play the same songs multiple times and stop halfway through a song to go to a advert which probably means they are using YouTube. It may be worth getting a Spotify account to make it better and then you could also have more variety. Plenty of seated outdoors and indoors too. Evening bar staff and also the receptionists are great at what they do and so friendly. Hotel room- I was located on the 7th floor! Probably the best floor to be on as you are so high up. Beware if you get a room near the lifts you can hear the lift clanging when your in your room. Luckily I could only hear it when I was in my bathroom. Walls aren't the thickest but fine for me as I wear earplugs at night to drown out noise. Room comes with a TV (however could only find one english channel) but I just got a cable that I could plug into my phone and then you could play whatever films you want. The double bed is two separate single beds put together but each single bed is actually very big so theres plenty of space for you to spread out. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers space and you can also pay to use the safe if you want. The bedroom was very clean and the cleaners would come in once a day to do a refresh, they were always very kind. The bathrooms could probably do with a bit of an update but at the end of
