Stayed in August. Basic hotel ok if you just want somewhere to lay with a nice balcony with sea view. Basic bathroom and bedroom. Could do with a refurb… Breakfast… ok, provided you get the freshly cooked pancakes etc. Dinner was a hit and misss. Entertainment was for the elders. Pool was small so we just used the beach which was literally opposite hotel, 2 min walk. Excellent location. Took a trip to Aqualand Torremolinos Water Park which was amazing!

I highly do not recommend the Alba Beach hotel. It does not match the price and quality, especially if you choose the upgraded rooms with a view of the pool and the sea, and if you choose dinner. The hotel is old - there is very little space in the rooms - the hotel lies that the rooms are 25 sq m, in reality the rooms are much smaller, it is difficult to pass through the beds even to the balcony. The hotel food is a disaster - especially when it comes to dinner. The food is mainly chicken and eggs.

Hotel is well located near all bars and restaurants and the beach is opposite, the hotel looks like it has had a refurb in the lobby and bar area. Rooms are very small especially if you are more than 2 not really for families,also no kettles or fridges which is disappointing.as this is a 3 star hotel that should just be a given in this day and age. Also we were put on floor number one which is a walk through for the entertainment area which is very noisy if you are not wanting to go there every night. Food is ok nothing special only ever Luke warm but always found something. If not McDonalds is opposite. If asked if id return to this place I would say probably not as it’s not really for families

Visited here from the 28th September until 4th October with my partner. Honest review is it's in a good location for the beach shops and restaurants. Yes it is at the back of a macdonalds but the bins are not smelly as some people have said on here. Check in was easy done in around 5 mins and straight to our room at around 1.30pm. Room was OK. 2 main faults with it was only one plug socket to charge phones etc. Shower was very temperamental with it going hot and cold all the time. Room was cleaned every day and fresh towels if wanted every day. The restaurant was always quite busy. We was half board so we had breakfast and evening meal. Breakfast was the same everyday cooked or continental. Continental was very sparse not much available. The cooked breakfasts were usually cold but their was microwaves to heat up and people were using these.The evening meal sometimes was hit and miss. The best was the gala dinner was on Wednesday and the overall selection was the best all week. The pool and sunlounger area was not bad but in certain places it was bear grass areas and was just mud so if it rained it would be a bit messy to say in the least. Some renovations were going on whilst we were there in the reception area. But not as bad as before we got there. Entertainment in the evening was so so. The best was the Flamenco in the Wednesday evening. The rest of the time it was singers every night. One of which swore during his performance. Everyone looked at each other thinking the same thing did he just swore! Anyway would we come again ? Maybe not but we had a relaxing week.
