I have never been somewhere so disgusting and unprofessional in my life. After travelling to Bali in a big group of 8 Sea star Bali seemed like the perfect place. We were greeted by the manager there who showed us to the room which was ready, she left a short while later. When walking to the first room the first thing we were greeted with was animal poo by the pool which another person stepped in and we cleaned up ourselves. After going to the pool waiting for the final room to be ready we all headed back into the rooms to get showered and cleaned up, which was when we began finding issues. The first thing was that one of the shower heads in the rooms had come off so the shower just was a fountain and unusable. After complaining about this, the cleaner had to go out and buy a shower head, whereas i think this is her responsibility to check if these things are working. In the same bathroom the press down flush was taped down and replaced with a manual flush which broken off soon after the toilet being used. In another bedroom, a small window had broken and cardboard had been used to patch it up, another window the plastic was coming out and there was a gap, my concern would be insects and mosquitoes at night. In my room, which i had for later than the two rooms before. i had a shower which was when i noticed the stinking mouldy shower curtain and this was the final straw. We asked the owner to meet with us to discuss if we can have a done what refund as this is somewhere i didn’t want to go for one night. We said we would pay for the first night as we used the facilities. The owner said she was too busy to meet with us and that this is up to her staff. But when seeing her previous she told us to contact her with any issues. We told the manager we are leaving ( we were staying 5 nights) and would like a part refund. The manager has accused us of doing all of this damage ourselves to get a full refund. Previously, we wanted to cancel or changed our booking as we have been having difficulty renewing our visa due to the G20 summit. As we previously tried to cancel/change our booking the manager is using this as a reason we have gone into the rooms and found/made problems to get our money back. This is not the case, after being told previous we are not getting a refund we were happy to stay in Uluwatu for 5 days. Due to being so disgusted that we could not even stay one night we last minute booked a hotel in Kuta for us which we have proof of booking the same day as leaving Sea Star Bali. I am upset and frustrated at the managers lack of responsibility. Please do not stay here, it’s awful. For £7 a night in Bali i could definitely get a cleaner room elsewhere to stay in.
