Don’t stay there unless you want to sleep in a sauna!
My wife and I experienced 2 of the most uncomfortable nights we’ve ever had in a hotel. The hotel advertises that it has air conditioning. When we arrived, the thermostat showed 25 degrees Celsius. We immediately set the temperature to 19 degrees for the night. Unfortunately, the temperature did not change and we were unable to fall asleep due to the heat. At around 1 am we called the front desk and asked for help with the thermostat. Someone came up to our room, told us he could do nothing since the rooms are centrally heated, and suggested we open the tiny window. When we opened the window it got even hotter since the heating automatically kicked in. The next day we were completely sleep deprived and asked the front desk to move us to a different room. Instead they put two tiny ventilators into our room which did not help at all. They did promise to look into lowering the central heating temperature for the night. Unfortunately, the next night was just as bad. At around 12 am we finally had enough and decided to move to another hotel. The guy at the front desk then suddenly offered us another room. That room had two large windows that we fully opened. That way the temperature became bearable and we were finally able to sleep for another 5 hours.
From a 5 star hotel that explicitly states they have air conditioning in the rooms, I really expect to be able to regulate the temperature so that I feel comfortable. A big big disappointment.
