EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse BOS

Absolutely the most out of the way location possible for the city of Amsterdam. A minimum of a 50 minute bike time trough dark forests or a bus, two trams and the Metro make getting to the city a lot harder than it needs to be. The nights we were there were busy with kid running around shouting and yelling (part of a school trip) meant no peace and quiet. I would highly recommend avoiding the site at all costs. Not a pleasant experience at all. And VERY overpriced for the site.

Myself, my husband and our four boys stayed at euro camp for 5 nights (in Amsterdam Bos) the park was nice, clean & tidy. Reception were welcoming. On entrance into our mobile home, we didn’t realise we had no lounge area with a sofa but accepted it as it was. There were two small rooms with bunk beds and the very narrow wardrobe had two coat hangers in and was not spacious enough for 2 children in each room with 5 days worth of clothes but we managed. The same for the two singles in one room which me and my husband slept in. The beds were very comfy though. The bathroom had wet room styled flooring and mould all around the shower so after complaining, a cleaner attended within 20 minutes and cleaned all of the mould off & took the name of the previous cleaner who was last at the accommodation. There was also animal hair on two of the bunk beds mattress protectors and these were also replaced after complaining. Staff were apologetic but could not move us to a better accommodation and gave us 6 towels for €30 instead of €60. Overall the stay was comfortable, the scenery was lovely but I felt the mobile home was a bit unhygienic on arrival but we made do. When we used the hoover it smelt like wet dog and I probably wouldn’t choose a mobile home at Euro parcs again but it didn’t ruin our holiday & it was cheaper than most places. The shop on site closed at 6pm which surprised me but it wasn’t a huge issue as there was a shop 10 minutes up the road. It’s around a 20 minute walk to get a tram into the city as we didn’t hire a car but it was still a fantastic holiday.

Solid camping with all the necessary facilities. About an hour from the city center with public transport. Big camping place. Decent store.

The public toilets are not very clean and the water pressure is low, my room was not very clean either, staff is friendly and helpful, location is awesome but the facilities at the park could be better, all in all a bit overpriced even for Amsterdam, when you have a follow up booking be careful it could be denied and you receive this information during check in at the front office even if everything is already paid

The accommodation was more luxurious than expected. The quality and space of the bathroom, much better than a traditional hotel. Excellent coffee making and tea facilities. 2 things that can be improved but overall did not affect my stay. a. could not work the radiator in the bathroom. b. a microwave in the room would be a nice touch. Far away from the city. The bus stop is only good for the express bus to airport, not valid with a normal travel card. Solution ? Drive if you can, just 1 mile up the road to a tram 25 station such as Westweijk.

Property didn’t come with basic stuff like hand wash liquid or towels! You should be careful if you book this property out of Europe as the basic rooms does not even have a washroom and you should pay extra to get those stuff in your package! You should even rent towels if you want take a shower. It’s just a dry camping site not a hotel.

Great place to stay for a family of 4 in the Cabins. Great camping experience. We would recommend!!

Beautiful site, our pitch overlooked small lake with ducks Very helpful polite staff Reasonable shop inc Microwave to use and a pizza vending machine! Assortment of properties, chalets, statics, yurts In a huge wooded park & access from main road. Park fabulous for walking & cycling. Theoretically can cycle through park to Amsterdam (as long as don’t get lost) No bar Bus stop outside site to Airport, where change bus to Amsterdam, shame there’s not a more direct bus. Supermarket reasonably close Site perfect for Airport & Amsterdam. Airplanes were NOT a problem. Had to pay extra for electricity, but refunded 70% when we left

Loved this site. Set in a beautiful forest. Very big with glamping/huts etc. Although almost full it never seemed busy. Toilets etc were fine. Showers 4 mins were lovely and hot. Pitched by the river. Sun shining. Ducks and rabbits to keep the dogs occupied. 20min pet friendly Uber to meet friends. Great play areas for kids. Awkward drive over waste but apart from that, all good - like, its quite expensive but there’s a lot there. Although it’s really close to Schipol airport we never heard a single plane.
